Ashyr, to games in Palworld: we will be at Summer Game Fest. We have a lot of exciting things to reveal including some long awaited features.

I’d be curious to hear more. I bought it just to ride the hype train. I regret nothing, but I’m not sure what features would help me dive back in for more.

etchinghillside, to games in Redfall: We are working to release our final update, Game Update 4, that brings revamped Neighborhood

Is this something I would want to get if it was on sale for 9.99?

On one hand I’ve paid more for worse… on the other, the list of things that are worse that I’ve paid more for is really short.

I think you could do a LOT better for $10

MarcomachtKuchen, to games in Dragon's Dogma 2 update is available now on all platforms. It includes additions and adjustments to the storage, as well as fixes to various issues.

Really cool. Does this improve perfomance?

My biggest question too. I adored the first game, but only have a modest PC, so it's the only thing keeping me from getting the second

The original was okay.

Tyoda, to games in Ubisoft: Yes, Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still in development, and we cannot wait for you to discover more about Jade's past in the 20th Anniversary Edition.

Not a great sign when you have to assure people that the game is still being developed.

Then again, we complain about games being rushed. Maybe it will be great!

(I know nothing about the franchise)

The first game in 2003 was well regarded but a bit of a commercial failure. It was planned as a trilogy but people thought sequels might not happen

youtu.be/PXPsjvMlLOo

Then in 2008 this teaser about waiting was released confirming a sequel was in the works , since then Duke Nukem Forever has been released and BG&E2 now holds the title for “longest development for a AAA video game”.

Kelly, to games in Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy 20 million copies sold globally

Just a smidge more and they beat the original run:

  • Crash Bandicoot - 6.82 million
  • Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back - 7.58 million
  • Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped - 7.13 million
  • total: 21.53 million

shani66, to games in Bioware executive producer: "Some takes out there about this game being a live service game. That part is in the articles. It ain't. Its straight up single player story goodness" (Mass effect)

Pretty sure they’re talking about dragon age, not mass effect. God i wish dragon age origins got a sequel.

Quetzalcutlass,

What are you talking about? Dragon Age already had two sequels.

They just called them Pillars of Eternity I and II for some reason…

CluckN, to games in Darkest Dungeon II is now available DRM-free on GOG

Wish it was as fun as the first one.

ID411, to games in For the first time in it's 17 year run, TF2's review status has been demoted to "Mixed".

To paraphrase ….dont blame the game, blame the playerz

Mikufan,

Blame the devs for not doing anything about the bots.

ID411,

It’s a free to play, 20 year old game.

What devs ?

Deceptichum,
@Deceptichum@sh.itjust.works avatar

Some poor Indie company called Valve.

Mikufan,

Valve, the most important gaming company, commonly known for Steam, the most valuable and respected platform for gaming.

And they literally took down a fan project recently…

jack,

And they literally took down a fan project recently…

If you mean Portal 64 you’re misinformed at best

Mikufan,
jack,

Oh, that’s unfortunate

Mikufan,

Yes it is so the outrage is very understandable. Especially because they basically have a infinite amount of money as a company.

GoogleSellsAds,
@GoogleSellsAds@sh.itjust.works avatar

Big corporate (Valve) is behind it. Not sure why people expect something good to happen. A business is gonna business.

Aeonx21,

Why were you down voted lol

ID411,

Coz gamerz! 😆

Daxtron2,

Lemmy becomes a lot better if you disable comment votes lol

null,

Because the answer is obviously Valve.

Zozano,

Because that’s not how Valve operates.

There are still devs who work on TF2, they just don’t know how to address the bot problem without a lot of investment to overhaul the matchmaking system.

SpacetimeMachine,

If valve is still going to release new crates that they make money off of they should at least work on the game enough to keep it playable.

9point6, to games in US unit sales of PS5 hardware are trending 8% ahead of PS4, while Xbox Series is trailing Xbox One by 13%, and remains slightly behind Xbox 360. Source: Circana Retail Tracking Service.

I find it surprising that the PS5 is beating the PS4 in popularity, it honestly feels like a flop in comparison from how I remember the PS4 being at this point of time.

joyjoy, to games in Disney Epic Mickey Rebrushed launches September 24th

Is this a remake, reboot, or remaster? “Rebrushed” doesn’t make it clear.

RiQuY,

Probably a recashgrab.
