hal_5700X, to games in Ubisoft: Yes, Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still in development, and we cannot wait for you to discover more about Jade's past in the 20th Anniversary Edition.

Safe bet, it’s going to be a shit show of a game.

Psionicsickness,

Ofc it will be, Ubisoft is dog water.

I’m still salty about the one time they accidentally offered a 80 % discount on Steam but fixed it to 20 % while I had it in my cart.

Kelly, to games in Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy 20 million copies sold globally

Just a smidge more and they beat the original run:

  • Crash Bandicoot - 6.82 million
  • Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back - 7.58 million
  • Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped - 7.13 million
  • total: 21.53 million

RightHandOfIkaros, to games in RPCS3 (PlayStation 3 Emulator): Further SPU optimisations from developer elad335 have allowed for great performance gains on low end CPUs

Wish they would have said what CPU they used. What exactly do they define as a “low end CPU” that is 4 core/4 thread? How far back is low? An i5 4690k? Older? Newer?

RightHandOfIkaros, to games in NintendoSwitchOnline + Expansion Pack members. These Nintendo64 and Game Boy Advance games will be available later today: A Link to the Past Four Swords, Metroid, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, Perfect Dark

Theyre doing Nightdive kinda dirty by putting Turok, which has a remaster that is nearly identical but with more natural button mapping, on their subscription service.

I don’t actually see why anyone would do this other than they don’t want to.pay like $20 or whatever to add the game to their library and would rather rent it.

bjoern_tantau, to games in The original Resident Evil (1996) has been rated for PC in Europe. Resident Evil was technically already released for PC in 1996, but it's not actually available via Steam or any digital market place.
@bjoern_tantau@swg-empire.de avatar

Huh? I distinctly remember playing that game back then on my PC. Or at least the demo. Hated the controls. So it should be available in some form.

mindbleach,

Yeah, CD-ROM for Windows 95. But not on any digital storefront.

RightHandOfIkaros,

Probably not from Steam or other digital marketplace. Most likely you played off the original CD. I don’t think the original was distributed via floppy.

They need this for achievements. PlayStation has had it for years and it works perfectly

Aye hopefully steam does something similar with achievements and trophies etc.

It is annoying when you 100% a game and then it updates and you have to start again. Having it separate somehow would be nice.

Iapar, to games in Tom Warren: “Sources tell me Microsoft is currently targeting Fable to release between October and December 2025. Gears of War E Day was targeting a release in 2025, ahead of even ahead of Fable"

My sources tell me Microsoft can go fuck itself and I will not knowingly buy from them again.

At some point you have to decide between things sucking now and get better in the long run (Linux for example) or things being good now but will suck in the long run (Microsoft/windows).

StrongHorseWeakNeigh, to games in Tom Warren: “Sources tell me Microsoft is currently targeting Fable to release between October and December 2025. Gears of War E Day was targeting a release in 2025, ahead of even ahead of Fable"

I’m a little suspicious of a Fable made by anybody other than Lionshead and especially a studio that primarily makes racing games. I’ve been wanting a new Fable since forever, so I hope it’s good but I’m prepared for it not to be.

Konraddo, to games in Dragon Age The Veilguard Gameplay Reveal Teaser

So we have action in this ARPG. I wonder if they are confident enough to show RPG bits before launch. Judging purely by the trailer, the game feels nothing like DA.

hal_5700X, (edited ) to games in Dragon Age The Veilguard Gameplay Reveal Teaser

Purple neon lighting is not a good sign. Don’t believe me. Here’s a list of games who had purple neon lighting in their advertising.

  • Forspoken
  • Saint’s Row reboot
  • Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

I’m not saying this game is going to be bad. It’s not a good sign. That’s all.

TwoBeeSan, to games in Dragon Age The Veilguard Gameplay Reveal Teaser

I WANT TO BELIEVE

But bioware now is not bioware of the past.

For all it’s faults have liked every dragon age game despite it’s departure from the og rpg elements.

Hoping this has some soul in it still as i do love the world and characters.

I really wish game and film companies would stop sharing trailers on xitter, and people should definitely find a different source before resharing it. We all need to quit driving traffic to Elon’s nazi bar.

I edited the link to a Youtube channel that ripped and rehosted the video.
