I don’t know what you want… In the video he basically does a bunch of experiments and shows that gas does not have the amazing benefits that people think it has.

It does NOT heat up faster. It does NOT have more even heat. etc…

It does, however, fill your room with all kinds of nasties really quickly, as he shows with air quality sensors.

Most likely due to tight memory constraints on consoles. Can’t have people making maps that work fine on PC but cause lag on consoles. That would make the console look weak, and Microsoft / Sony can’t have that!

It costs something to build and maintain the infrastructure to distribute power. Typically that cost is recovered through payments for the generation of the power, which becomes a problem if generation costs get too low. It suggests that we should probably consider a different model of paying for that infrastructure now that the reality of generation has changed.

Odd, since in my experience, it’s the most consistently reliable, performant, and easy to setup / use desktop vm package I’ve used. It always seems to “just work” when others don’t

I guess that depends on what we are using it for. I use it for CAD / CAM software that only works in Windows (Vectric Aspire). Nothing else has been able to give me 3d previews with any kind of usable performance.

I’ve never been able to get GPU acceleration working in qemu/kvm. That’s also why the “just works” aspect of virtual box is important.

It seems like the FOSS community is continuing to grow, and FOSS apps keep getting better (Immich reallh blew my mind recently), which is a big win 😎 but there are still many apps I use that I would kill for an open source alternative. I am curious what you guys think? Are there any apps you’d love alternatives for?
