That was one of the more interesting SOTU addresses I’ve seen. Personally, I think he said most of the things that needed to be said, and he said them reasonably well. I’m sure he’s going to get some flack for attacking Trump directly (though not by name), but I was frankly glad to see it. Doing otherwise makes it seem...
I definitely took a long break from shit posting because who can compete with the press secretary’s shit posts? Deleted accounts and cursed at clouds. I do not miss those days.
Despite resounding victories on Super Tuesday, there are indications that Donald Trump is still struggling to get strong, united Republican support, which he may need in the presidential election....
I’ve seen some gun people really be distraught by the fact he was convicted for sexual assault. Rightly so! For no other candidate in my life time would this be tolerated.
Biden should decline. It’s the winning move. Remember the last debates Trump did? Yeah, those weren’t good for anyone. Just let trump keep getting amped up about it then decline. It’s when he gets cocky and starts calling Biden scared he should go with the sole purpose of dunking on Trump. Dont talk to the American people. Just dunk on trump.
So, we’ve already given them all the means and any call for action is “shutting down crucial military systems” aka leaving them vulnerable in a hostile region?
I don’t know man, the situation in Isreal is part of the fallout of hitlers actions. Seems like that should factor in. The mistake people are making is that there is only an illusion of choice and a vote for a president actually factors in very little in the grand scheme. A president does have some limited power but they are enabled by their party. If we look at the parties who’ve done the most damage I would tip the scale one way, every time.
To answer your question should people be responsible for the illusion of choice of a president? Fuck no.
Should they use their vote to resist the spread of white supremecy and authoritianism, yes.
The ballot or the bullet. You act like America winning the revolution was the end of our trouble. The revolution did not end slavery. The revolution did not create equality. It secured the colonies for a new imperialistic super power.
Yes, if there is no ballot, then it is the bullet.
It’s like the Supreme Court thinks it can supersede the constitution because it thinks the ammendment was poorly worded/thought out. cough cough second ammendment cough cough
It’s been a shit show since day one with this court. If there’s ever been a time to pack the court it is now. Hell, do it in response to this ruling. Allowing an insurrectionist on the ballot is plain unacceptable. We’re already heading toward discourse we cannot solve. Make a stand, would someone?
Edit: Just clarifying it’s the Supreme Court who doesn’t think it has to adhere to the language in the amendment. Not myself.
You know. I supported Trump before he ever ran for president. I could look passed the grab them by the pussy thing; the racism thing; the white supremacy thing; the rape thing; the epstein thing; the incoherent speech thing; the nepotism; the criminal activity; him sucking off putin; the dictator thing; etc. etc.
If you’re wondering why anyone who claims to be a Democrat would lend their support to Trump; considering he will be much more hostile towards Hamas than Biden has been in his support for Isreal. It’s because Americans have a fundamental misunderstanding of how our democracy works. It’s not their fault either. Political science teaches us that voting is our voice and we should use our vote to express ourself. After seeing this dynamic play out every election cycle these type of issues always come up as a concerted effort to spoil the results. The idea that we can use the general election to express our opinion in this political climate is flawed since no one considers the candidates fit for office. No rational person. In the case of the presidency we need to use our vote as damage control because down ballot is much more crucial.
Make a threshold that if the relative wealth is equal between 100,000,000 million people no one is executed. That’s a hard cap right there.
Problem is the rich would start making death contracts. Scooping up some poor person to put them at the top with a contract saying if they go through with it they get certain privileges. The person would have to be too stupid to realize they can just distribute the wealth given to them and its win win win.
Also would hide their money off shore.
The process of determining who is most wealthy would be problematic.
It would be difficult to have an accurate monthly system.
There is a long history of video games cash grabbing any IP they get their hands on. Pokemon and the sort are few and far between. Do we need to talk about ET?
My biggest gripe right now is game designers have an incredible platform with mobile devices, that I would havre murdered for when I was kid, and the best they can do is slot machines. There are some great titles for mobile but it’s way overshadowed by the dopamine harvesters. I’ll be dead before they get this shit sorted.
I disagree. Yes, peoples expections are warped because of freemium but an indie developer should be able to make plenty of money with a small bit of notoriety. It really comes down to if developers expect capture the entire mobile gaming market they are barking up the wrong tree. They need to build an audience and not let freemium practices get in that space. I grew up on the snes and I would put those games head to head against any PS5 AAA game. Sure the PS5 game may be a visual spectical and have all sorts of complexity but the Nintendo developers had to do more with less. End of the day you could have the same amount of engagement with a cheaper to make product and we would all be better for it. Look at deadcells. Look a hollow knight. I know these are platformers but they are best in class and their budgets can’t be extraordinary.
