Pretty sure that you get the benefit of the doubt if you had a feasible reason for adding/changing something about your food.

For example, you could add a laxative to your food/drink and be totally in the clear as long as you labelled your container with your name and maintain that you’ve been constipated. It’s a totally valid reason, plus it was labelled with your name so there’s no reason for anyone else to be consuming it.

I used to use that for ages, but the constant ads made me uninstall it

I think they were more likely referring to how when the public eye is on something many companies will start churning out low-effort products to capitalise on the interest. The market would be flooded with cheap and inferior products in that niche, potentially threatening the smaller business that actually cared about making quality products for those hobbyists. I know this won’t apply to every hobby, but there are definitely a number of them that will.

Craving carbs? Nah, you just need nitrogen. Just breathe some air, bro.

What even is that chart?

Gotta back up that claim my dude. Not everyone knows what everyone else has done.

I’m in the UK and it doesn’t work for me either, even after changing my question 4 or 5 times. It’s probably region-locked.

She was basically the first internet doxx.

This isn’t doxxing, this is just the internet spreading lies.

Doxxing is publishing personal/private information about someone online, which didn’t happen in this story.

I still remember getting that in Wordle. I think I stopped playing after that.

I think the main complaint is “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”.

I like the old UI. I had no complaints. So why change it? So much developer expense for zero user benefit.

I used that one revert Gist that NTTS talked about and it’s been the same as always ever since. If Discord makes an update that removes the old UI then I’ll use an old version until they absolutely force me. I will not voluntarily use the new UI, because I think it’s not as good, and that’s it.

Ah yes, because permanent physical mutilation is exactly the same as 24-hour inconvenience.

What the fuck is wrong with you?

Holy shit, Math Blaster 9-12. You just threw me back SO far. I just had a vivid image in my mind’s eye of the home office I played it in.

Thank you for the throwback.

Used keyboard I bought has keys that don't respond when pressed. Any hope in saving?

Its a Razer Blackwidow elite I got for cheap, the listing just said “sold as is” and had some pictures. Didn’t mention anything about bad keys. Kicking myself now for trying to cheap out. My question is if there is anything I can do to repair it. If so is it worth doing? The switches are not hot swappable if that’s...

If it was listed as Used on eBay then you’ll likely be able to get your money back because it’s not fully working. If it was listed as Parts or you bought it from a less regulated platform, on your head be it.

As for repair, it depends what’s wrong with it. It sounds like some of the switches might be dead, but if they are then you’ll want to source replacements, but from where? Do you have any soldering equipment/skills?

It might be a fun repair project if you’re into electronics, but if you weren’t… then better luck next time.

I imagine it’s the fear of missing out on something even better. Think about it like this: If switching to this new board was so good then it’s entirely possible that there could be one that’s even better, so you might as well try as much as you can since there are effectively unlimited combinations of parts.

In fairness, most clients don’t link/highlight incomplete URLs, so it’s easy to miss.

Pyroglyph,

I assume it’s because you also added an image to the post? I agree it’s not exactly intuitive, but people tend to post either an image or a URL to a page, not a combination of any of those.
