Dude what? We haven’t even made a return to Melee form yet. There are thousands of characters to add. Look at the modded Melee on dolphin if you need pointers, fans always have more vision anyway.
Great games for sure, extremely happy. But, best year ever? I don’t think that exists. Afterall, Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst didn’t release again this year so it can’t be the best ever.
That entire dlc was kind of a disgrace even if the end was fitting. If they could chop that off and factor in the rest of the story without a shitty ass retexture dlc that would be great, too.
In ten years, the only place you’ll be able to truly own what you buy and play how you want is on Linux from Itch.io. These fools are salting the earth they grow their crops in.
Thats the issue, most people want prepackaged entertainment. They don’t want to get home from work and be like “aye lets build the 4th planet is the Rakja solar system”.
Yeah this was a messy one. But I used their default settings and it was jumping frames everywhere. Can’t really blame the consumers. Also, intro cutscene has been about 10-20 frames. I know a 2080 TI isn’t new but its not supremely ancient either.
My point being, the only thing I did was cap fps to 60. Their default settings did everything else. Also, the intro video plays before you can change any settings. How is it the consumer’s fault if even that is running terrible? Lol
I will say yesterday’s patch did wonders. Disable cross play if you haven’t. That seemed to be a huge problem. As soon as i enabled it to play with my cousin my fps dropped back down.
The mating of the dinosaurs. This is the same shit that happened to record labels the minute people were able to record quality sounds in their own homes. What happens when all the gaming industry is rolled under some parent organization?
Battletech is awesome and I loved MechWarrior as a child. It seems this IP was just an unfortunate gamble on garnering new players. I do think they should have waited for Game Pass if at all possible. That is definitely taking some of the initial sales.
People are perfectly happy booting up machines and using external HIM devices to interact with them. If VR didn’t explode to the new norm, why the fuck would brain chips?
They could add they Aether. I’m not going to lie though, the beauty of minecraft is not the content. Its the emergent systems from redstone and the like. Unless I am mistaken and Notch intended for people to make functioning RAM and computers inside minecraft.
I mean nobody wanted this game in the first place, couple that with this sewage outlet and there ya go. They really had a follow-up game planned for this? Like it was gonna be a hit?
And thats a movie based on a legendary book. Hell yeah it made that much. Now turn around and say, “hey, bud. You know the split-personality leper following the protagonist? Ever wanted to be him?” Fuck, no. And it was never advertised as anything more than that. You have to relate a little to who you are controlling in a game, otherwise it doesn’t sell. Who relates to smeagol? People who wish they sold knives that don’t whisper to you?
Its really not hard. They have the lion’s share of IPs but not a single person there can take a risk on a new mechanic or feature. Their problem is they want high ROI in an industry that is largely based on ephemeral measurements. You can’t predict the next hit, so you have to climb out on limbs and take risks to stand out.
You say that, but Space Station 13 never became mainstream. Mischief Maker was left to rot and never remade. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles fucking removed the features we loved in the remake. Monster Rancher isn’t made anymore. Theres a host of IPs with great gameplay that are now lost to history. If it was so predictable companies would do it, because it makes money and companies solely exist to make money. But thats not the case. They churn out the same SaaS digital storefronts endlessly chasing the easy money. Nobody would have guessed Rainworld would have made the money it did, yet it triumphed. There is no formula for capturing the attention of apes with star-brains long enough to garner fame.
I don’t know how to say this but corporations suck. They turn human spirit into profits and excrement. Anything led by a corporation will inevitably suck if it doesn’t right off the bat.
I’m sure there are. But, at least in the states, many tech people are also right-leaning libertarians. Co-ops are unpopular with them because they want to be the kings in the castle, not equal with their peers.
I fed Gale his robe when he was bitching about magic items once, had to have the whole deep.lore conversation with him suddenly naked. My point being Gale is a great thumbnail for this article about naked men.
I forgot about this the minute there was drama with it and the writers were changing the story. All they had to do was remake the models and textures for it to be a masterpiece for the second time. Sad, but glad it wasn’t turned into a dumpster fire.
Increasing complexity, tighter deadlines, demand for highwr profit margins, decrease in education quality. Theres a lot of reasons and not all of them are necessarily bad. Its good that we can simulate what we can. I think the profit motive is just starting to show its ruinous powers as shareholders demand more and more.
In the lead-up to Diablo 4's first season back in July, the game received a patch that was universally unpopular. That feels like an understatement—the community revolt was fierce enough to cause an honest-to-Lilith emergency broadcast where the devs stated: "we don't plan on doing a patch like this ever again"....
The problem with this game is its design choices. Over simplified enemies leave much to be desired from previous titles. A world that levels with you means you never feel like you get better. I had to get lucky with a fucken item drop just to make my druid viable. Restarting every season? Only streamers and NEETs have time and desire to do that. This game was a pile of the worst design choices of the last 10 years. They even managed to make an established character (Lilith) bland by trying to make her seem morally grey. Chick has been trying to turn Sanctuary into her own faction for the Eternal Conflict since its inception. If I could I would refund this game, which sucks they already got their money.
You know whats better? Not reporting shit, I just published my game. I don’t want to report a bunch of numbers to Unity each month. I want to push updates to fix issues my users are complaining about. How the fuck are the biggest chucklefucks in charge of every company? Give me the fucking reigns I can do better than this.
I can when I didn’t have to do it before and this policy is forced upon me by an established vendor. Thats like saying you can’t bitch about material vendors in the construction industry, you absolutely can because they make your business work and you’ve entrusted them not to fuck you.
Its not the tracking of sales thats the issue. Its having to report it to someone so they can take even more of my money when we haven’t been doing that for years.
Over the weekend, Starfield players began to share reports of a strange paranormal infestation. There are asteroids in the game that, for reasons known only to gods and/or programmers, follow you from orbit to orbit, flying eerily in formation with your ship, and sometimes even accompanying you to a planet's surface. "In one of...
For all we know “space” is the same map for each planet and only a few assets get swapped depending on orbit. Maybe this was a cheeky way to make their ancient engine run all these new features without crashing.
Fans have taken to the likes of X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok to question NetherRealm's decision to market Mortal Kombat 1 as a $70 Switch release. It has been called "robbery" and "disrespectful" to users.
Its not an old game, MK1 is the latest release. The people getting served this are running it on hardware that was weak last generation. At a certain point you simply cannot push these devices any further. MK1 for Switch was never going to look beautiful, the current gen Switch can’t do it. I’m okay with devs making their games available, I mean at least you can play it. Theres a reason a Switch 2 is in the works.
I dont ever use a tenkey anyway, but there are options with numbers rows and for over two years now my F keys have been layered with my number row. I like the combination of a keyboard + track ball. The Charybdis is a good split with a number row, just make sure its not the Charybdis Nano if you want to take a look (both made by bastardkb).
