I’m not saying it is not true, but if it is can we get a better source than watcher.guru? Something about a crypto focused news source screams not credible
wanting to hop into the world of linux on a dual boot method (one of my favorite games unfortunately cannot be run on linux at all, and it’s a gacha. I don’t want to gamble with my account being banned, so I’m keeping windows for it specifically.) this’ll be my second go at it, I used Pop!_OS briefly but had some issues...
I’m on Pop_OS and really like it. I chose it because i have a 2080, so the nvidia specific package is great for me. No WiFi issues, but I almost always have it hard wired, so not much chance to have it go wrong
Is that still true? The article/github thread cited on Prism Break are from 2012 and 2013 respectively. It seems only to be true of Ubuntu 12.10. The only thing I can from from current Ubuntu versions is the ad in the command line when doing an apt upgrade, and that is from 2022. It does not appear to exist in other Ubuntu based distros since it is an ad for Ubuntu Pro. Not saying it is great, but it seems like non-Canonical distros should be OK.
That’s fair. I guess I give just a little bit of room for fucking up and fixing it. I am also not particularly loyal and will ditch companies at the drop of a hat.
What definition of Dad Rock did they use? Because from my definition it would be a more unified genre, not just songs that were on the radio before they turned 35.
Much easier said than done. I would personally like to, but I need a good replacement for Android Auto/Google Maps in my car. That is me personally, though. For a lot of not technically inclined people that is not possible.
I was just having a conversation about a Google free, AI Free phone option. This isn’t quite where the folks I was talking to need it to be (mostly needs eSim and 5G would be nice), but it certainly something to keep an eye on.
The issue there is that we still live in a capitalist hellscape, and artists need to make money to survive. Until we have a situation where artists can make art and not worry about where their rent (yes, fuck landlords) or food, they will need to be able to make a living somehow.
Insiders are not MS employees, though. That is also not the same as trained QA or security. You or I can join the insiders program. It is essentially public beta
Alpha is For sure more accurate. But for me that also means big security holes like that should be plugged before insider. I’m also a bit biased being a QA engineer
Eminem releases "Houdini," the first single from his upcoming album "The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)," promising a controversial and nostalgic return.
Why do you assume that pro-Palestinian people = pro-Hamas? How many dead Israeli people is enough to justify genocide? Nobody is saying that Hamas are the good guys, but they do often say they understand the material realities that created them (Israeli state actions). Everyone I know that is saying don’t commit genocide also say it is not OK for Hamas to kill civilians, often in the same breath.
But they do? Both the people you are responding to in this thread literally said it is not OK for Hamas to kill civilians. You also didn’t answer the second part:
How many dead Israeli people is enough to justify genocide?
Regardless of how wrong you are about pineapple on pizza (pepperoni and pineapple is always a solid choice), school glue is made from PVA, and while not toxic, is 100% not food. Pineapple is still food at the very least
this is already leading to layoffs, including “GamesIndustry.biz managing editor Brendan Sinclair” and “Alice Bell, deputy editor at Rock Paper Shotgun”
Good news , it is just on their Copilot+ computers for now. For now is likely doing some heavy lifting there, though.
I threw Mint on a partition to test moving away from Windows, and sadly does not play well with my 2080ti. This makes me want to put more effort into getting it to work…
That was the next thing i was going to try. Already have the bootable preview on a drive even. Maybe I’ll try that first before diving in to the wild west that is getting nvidia to work.
Well good news, I tried Pop_OS and it worked great, so no need to swap cards. Probably going to spend the day backing up my files and installing it on the full drive today
Musk is also a guy who’s gotten zero starships into orbit. The engineers at Space X have, and to a certain extent Gwynne Shotwell is a part of that, but that is despite Musk, not because of him.
Fortunately the NACS has be standardized under the SAE as J3400, so companies should not have to rely on Tesla for development or implementation anymore. Tesla’s network is going to suffer for sure though.

I currently use TinyWall Firewall, it works very well, it’s small/portable, no complaints I even donated to the Dev but I would really prefer open source, also it needs to be user friendly like TinyWall so my non-tech family members can/will use it like they do with TinyWall.
You can have a preference and not do the preferred thing all the time. In the example you gave, someone could generally eat “healthy food” and just have a Big Mac meal once in a while.
The Win11 ads has me looking at good Linux distros now. I didn’t buy a (discounted) $200 license so i can look at ads.
Same here. I did a test run of Mint on my 2013 macbook pro, and it was a mixed bag. Mostly streaming games from my desktop was unusable, but since that is a big part of what I do with that laptop, it was kind if a deal breaker. Granted the video driver for that laptop is real old, so will probably still try on my desktop.
I am legit confused. In order to have a book written about a rise to power, one has to have risen to power. So to suggest that the only way to have a book written about a rise to power of american fascists is if “we win”, is to suggest “we” are the fascists. Like, it seemed like a wild comment, but maybe they meant only if non-fascists win because otherwise they would not allow the book to be written

Yeah, I had a super hard time with her as well. Edit, spoiling the tip
spoilerOf note, if you haven’t figured it out, you can reflect her bolts when she is shooting at you from the air. Took me forever to figure that out and that helped a ton
J1772 is great for home charging, but for charging on road trips you really need CCS or NACS. The good news is NACS is being adopted as an SAE standard (J3400)
Musk isn’t left though? He is very far right. He gained popularity by keeping quiet (at first) and doing stuff like promising not to sue companies that use their patents, and developing a ton of EV infrastructure. Turns out he couldn’t keep his mouth shut and is also just a rich asshole. But a lot of people bought in early and made loving Elon a personality trait. So here we are
