Please don’t roast me here, but why is wanting to know what someone looks like without makeup such a bad thing? I’ve never even thought about it before, so please don’t take this as advocating for it. It just doesn’t immediately occur to me what the problem would be.
I get why it’s gross to have an app to remove clothing, but makeup feels like a different category.
What about an app that changes or removes hair? Or one for sunglasses/jewelry?
Are they all gross in some way that I’m missing? Is it creepy to remove makeup from photos but not creepy to remove earrings?
The executive branch (Biden) would have expanded the courts. Manchin and Simena refused to cast the needed votes to make it work. It’s up to us to elect more Democrats so we don’t have to rely on our worst ones to do the right thing.
Look at what a mess the House has been when the Republicans have had a handful of votes to spare. Dems have no spare votes, and they’ve still managed to get a lot done. Put a few more Democrats in the Senate, and then we don’t have to cater to the quasi-conservative senators in the party.
Nobody is advocating for the sound to play at startup. The comment that started this conversation specifically uses the word “looking”. We’re just saying people do pay attention to what kind of surround sound something has.
I was originally responding to the comment about looking for surround sound options and was not trying to defend the sounds. Obviously, the info on the box is usually the best way to tell.
But as we discuss it, some use cases for the sound come to mind.
If the media is just a file on a hard drive or if the original packaging is lost or damaged, I might appreciate having the sound to indicate what settings to use on the receiver.
And honestly beyond all that… Who cares if somebody does like having the sound play every time? We all do weird shit.
Because he was just a kid born into this shit. Now he’s a participant.
Similarly, Ivanka sucks, but not nearly as much as her father.
I assume “support” is used here like “least favorite”. Whatever your least favorite thing is; it’s nowhere on your actual favorites list. It’s just how we say “this sucks the most” while using less abrasive words.
Also, why do we act like 18 is the magic minimum age when someone should know better? I remember being 15, 16, 17 and having a solid understanding of morals and how to participate in society. I wasn’t special.
It’s not “You’re 18 now, so you should know better.” It’s “For fucks sake, you’re 18. You should have figured this shit out years ago.”
I’ve only ever seen comments online saying they feel bad for him being in that environment or that they hope he turns out normal. In hindsight, it’s kind of astonishing any Trump was afforded such grace from the general public.
And that little shit threw it away his very first chance to do so. Fuck him.
The point I’m making is we set 18 as the age when you’re responsible for your own actions, but it’s not because just in that moment you become responsible.
We set the age at 18 because it’s a really generous guess. Most people understand how to interact with others years before their 18th birthday. If someone is still fucking up at 18 then consequences are appropriate.
That crazy seemingly drunk lady that gave false election fraud testimony to Congress - Terpsichore Maras did the same thing. She’s used lots of different spellings of her name while grifting. Makes it harder to keep track of all their bullshit.
Yeah all you have to do is look around and start asking a few questions. I grew up fully indoctrinated. Church school k5 - high school graduation. Within a couple years being out of that bubble it was all so obvious.
Rural Americans deserve little grace in this regard. They absolutely do know better.
TOTK overtook BOTW as my favorite because there is just so much to do. It’s one of the things I loved about BOTW, and they somehow managed to cram even more into TOTK.
Before BOTW, Ocarina of Time was my favorite Zelda game.
Except they probably don’t even understand the laws. At least the statements she made didn’t actually break the law. She’s either stupid or purposely using a straw man argument.
So sure. They can stand up for what they believe in. And they can also also get ridiculed for being idiots whose shitty opinions are not based in reality.

I don’t like Biden either, but anyone with half a brain knows there are two choices in the 2020 election. If we had a sane voting system, voting third party might be worth it, but as it stands, no one but you knows your favorite candidate exists and unless you want to become their campaign manager that will still be true in...
You hope America burns to the ground? What country are you in that you think wouldn’t be affected by the collapse of the United States? Power vacuums are dangerous as fuck.
There is this notion that most states are “solid red or blue”… except we keep getting surprised in elections, and polling has been shit since at least the 2016 election. I don’t want people in TX giving otherwise Biden votes to some 3rd party when the state as a whole has been trying to become more blue.
Trump’s new slogan is going to be “Take America Back”. You can buy the merch on AliExpress right now. His followers don’t interpret that to mean “by voting”.
Save the 3rd party virtue signals for a time when we’re not on the verge of a civil war. The message we should all be sending right now is unified support for the guy who can keep Trump out of the oval office.
Maybe you’re replying to someone else? My comment was that power vacuums are dangerous as fuck. Not sure how someone thinks “dangerous as fuck” is about the economy?
The gag orders lately have been leaving out the judge, prosecutors, and their families. Wouldn’t want an appearance of bias. What’s a few death threats between friends?
Yeah that’s definitely what they’re going for. It just seems like a huge overcorrection. There is way too high of a chance that somebody gets killed by one of Trump’s supporters. What appeals court is going to throw out a conviction because the judge tried to protect themselves and the prosecution from political violence instigated by the defendant?
All of us here know that. Gotta go to the booger eating festival and spread the word there for whatever idiots somehow still haven’t figured out wtf is going on.

In an exclusive interview with CNN, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis says the work on the case against former President Donald Trump has not been delayed in the wake of a hearing into her relationship with former lead prosecutor Nathan Wade.
Because the judge is frustrated with her. He invited Trump’s defense team to request an order to have the prosecution stop speaking publicly about the case. The judge said he nearly disqualified Fani Willis over a speech she gave at a church on MLK Jr day. I’m not some right wing nut either.
