Huh, I liked the show okay, not a diehard fan, but that trailer actually gave me chills.

I’ll check it out.

The action looks awesome, kind of wary of how the kid playing aang stumbled over his lines, but everyone else seems pretty well cast, the production looks great.

Toes,

Yeah the show is available to watch now.

It’s not bad, but it is rather different from the cartoon. So I’m curious what you think of it.

Varyk,

Oh it is? There’s for letting me know, I hadn’t realized it was already released.

There was something about the cartoon that just didn’t click with me, and I love cartoons, so I’ll be very interested in giving this a try.

Bryke are not involved so I don’t get good vibes

Toes,

What’s that

The showrunners and creators of the original show

Toes,

Oh I see, I heard something about that. It does cast a bit of a omen on the project.

Rolando,

Netflix, huh? So it’ll end with a cliffhanger and there won’t be a second season.

Meh. I’m burned out on retelling the same stories using live action. What would get me actually excited is a new Avatar story.

BmeBenji,

Yeah, what was wrong with the animated series that necessitated this?

Voroxpete,

This was exactly my reaction. What does swapping out beautifully expressive animation for awkward child actors and decent-but-bland-CGI do to improve on the original?

Fitzsimmons,

“hey guys check out my photorealistic remake of the mona lisa”

BmeBenji,

“This is just a picture of your sister…”

RogueBanana,

Cause it wasn’t making enough money

saigot,

I mean thats happening too. There’s an animated series about the avatar after Korea coming in 2025. There’s also an animated movie following the aang as an adult coming out around the same time
