Pseu,

Prosperous Universe is quite different from a typical incremental game, but it scratches the same itch for me. The game is very complex, and other players drive the economy, leading to some price/availability unpredictability that is interesting. Gotta keep your bases fueled, but you also want to wait for prices to rise or fall, and potentially use your ships to trade at other markets.

It’s quite nonlinear in progression and there’s a lot of ways to expand.

sandriver,

Anti-Idle: The Game is one of my all-time favourites. It’s got a ton of sub-games and some really interesting resource flows between them. And as per the title you can idle or not, but there are rewards for active play.

Sidyctism,

I recently restarted cookie clicker. Big mistake

idiotdoomspiral,

NGU Idle is the greatest idle game to ever exist. It simply cannot be beaten. It’s free on Steam.

Evergreen5970,
HidingCat,

Eh, if one of the better incrementals is only ok to you, I'm not sure if you want to try more of the genre.

authorinthedark,

I enjoyed a dark room

kynoptic,
Azathoth,

Is there one that is server Based where it is not possible to manipulate your save state?

aperson,

Stone story has been great fun.

jacktherippah,

Current digging CIFI. There is so much to do in this game.

forgeddit,

I’ve tried almost all popular incremental games. Some I might have forgotten, but most are not listed because I lost interest.

Sorry in advance for lack of links, on mobile ATM. If there is interest I can add them.

Note: Most web games work on mobile, but some require an S-Pen or so for hovering upgrade tooltips before buying.

Favorites, beaten (web):

  • Matter dimensions (my all time favorite)
  • Godtree incremental (quite short)
  • Idle Formulas
  • Succubox (too much clicking but was similar to universal paperclips)
  • Smaller demo games, like summer jam games or from www.incrementaldb.com

Favorites, beaten (Android):

  • Upload Simulator (nice pacing)

Still playing (web)

  • Incremental Mass Rewritten (active development)
  • Antimatter dimensions (inspiration for many others, mobile app missing last layer)
  • Fundamental (slow cycle; upgrades -> offline -> warp offline time)

Current Android games:

  • Ctrl C (repeat old chapters for multipliers)
  • Grimoire
  • Myriad + Myriad DE (definite edition is slower, but in development)
  • Upload Simulator 2 (don’t like the pacing compared to 1st)
  • SPACEPLAN (trying out. nice, apparently new, visuals)

Also occasionally playing steam versions of Increlution or Cookie Clicker, and waiting for Orb of Creation v0.6.0.

LoamImprovement,

Currently 100+ days into Fundamental, it is shockingly deep despite being so simple.

Oh man, that screenshot of Progress Quest gave me instant nostalgia

LoamImprovement,

Sigh.

Once more into the killing fields we go, friends.

brightone,

So many good games already mentioned! I would add Arcanum: Theory of Magic and Progress Knight (any variation beside the OG, like: 2.0, Reborn, Quest)

I was on The Perfect Tower 2 for a while until my 8th ascension introduced a different grind and I lost interest.

I've been on Farmers Against Poatatoes Idle and its mindless enough that I can more or less passively play with just one daily check in.
