Their lives on YouTube are amazing. The sound is perfect, it’s incredible. The band interviews, particularly by Cheryl Waters, are warm, interesting and short.

What definition of Dad Rock did they use? Because from my definition it would be a more unified genre, not just songs that were on the radio before they turned 35.
Oh they’re not suing anyone for a change. I guess they have the means to give some of that money away now.
I still remember them from the times they threatened to sue their fans for not buying their music.
Metallica hadn’t sued fans directly, but were making clear their intent to hunt them down. A consulting firm was hired, and complied a list of over 300,000 internet users in a single weekend who were alleged to have downloaded Metallica songs.
Rockstar doing quite a bit of heavy lifting here but I guess he’s closer than any of us. Glass Beach has around 500k monthly listeners on Spotify - nothing to sneeze at, but hardly making the zeitgeist.
Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking. I’m sure they’re a popular band, but “star” to me implies a pretty broad level of recognition among people who follow an art. It’s all just semantics though and I’m mostly being cheeky.
