Usually the analog stick. I’m just more used to it so it feels more natural most of the time. But some games do play better with a dpad, so there are exceptions.
I think it’s because most people play mobile games as a way to pass time, rather than to do something actually engaging. So, people don’t typically want to buy mobile games upfront, meaning devs gotta monetize in some other way, like p2w microtransactions.
I think the switch did pretty well actually and I get why they made the decisions they made. As much as I love my steam deck, the thing takes up like twice as much space as my switch, for example. There is definitely room for improvement though.
I wanna get into 2d games a bit more. Mainly things like RPGs or metroidvanias (or just single palywr games in general) For devices I can emulate older systems and I also have a switch. Any recommendations?
I'm looking for PC games that I can play while listening to podcasts- games that don't have engaging cut scenes or important dialogue, games that honestly don't require a lot of skill or thought....
Dpad vs analog stick
Which do you prefer? Why?...
What details/tools have you found help people transition to similar, open software from closed software, or think could help?

Why do mobile games suck nowadays?
In the last 5-7 years I’ve noticed that mobile games have devolved info always online p2w shit...
Maybe hot take: as a handheld, the regular switch is an awful handheld
Have you ever held a switch? Its long, flat and the controllers suck. Awful dpad and bad sticks....
