Who cares? Its a old game and it shouldn’t be changed. Shure its not good that it was like that back then, but changing it would be ignorant of the past.
They would at worst need to redo the code, the graphics and the text can be mostly reused without problem, the storyline wouldn’t change, the world building wouldn’t either. Putting the stuff into another code isn’t that hard for games like fallout 1 and 2 wich are more Text based.
A complete remake is absolutely unnecessary and nobody wants that. There is no reason to remake something that just needs some changes under the hood and maybe some upscaling for the textures.
Idk if this counts as remake or remaster, id argue its something in between.
Oh and its running on modern hardware, but not on modern Operating system, at least not without issues. The possibility of getting it to work on more modern OSs in the future is increasingly getting lower. Putting it into new code wouldn’t be much work but would help to preserve the game.
So they cant because they lost the original code… Wouldn’t be the first time.
Like seriously, people want a remake so the game runs on modern systems, not because you need to change much story, graphics or gameplay. Maybe some quality of play changes and higher resolution support but thats not much work.
Not necessarily, you’d just have to use different weapons, also… Fallout is a parallel universe why follow the laws of the real world? There is so much more potential in other regions of the world than there is new stuff they could add organically into fallout in USA.
I mean they wouldn’t even need to risk their fallout IP for it, just call it something else.
Why would they do this? They would give away free copies to possible scammers (if the email is lost) they told you for 3 years to connect ot to a ms account of your choice, if you didn’t thats on you. Also you got a cape for it.
(the “im owning minecraft longer than you live” cape to be specific)
Bo this wouldn’t be but you got reminded to change to a MS account every login and now they finally killed the risky database.
As said, it would be illegal to intercept the inputs into the login fields and it would be an pretty unreasonable amount of work as the passwords are usually hashes when they leave the pc they come from.
