Same in Ontario. I’ll get a paper copy if I ask for one, but otherwise new scripts are faxes direct to the pharmacy. Even paper copies are a printout though. I haven’t gotten a handwritten prescription in well over a decade now
At this point, it’s even more difficult than that. You can have an amazingly popular candidate that is a shoe-in for the POTUS vote… and they will be absolutely ineffective without the massive political machine that is the DNC/RNC backing them up. It’s not just the house and senate seats, it’s state government, municipal government, etc that also need representation by your new party. Tens of thousands of people need to be elected in positions in all levels before a new party gains enough political clout to even think about operating collectively at the national level.
Not to mention the fact that the judicial branch will still be packed with lifers with loyalties to the two incumbent parties.
The province that can’t come up with anything better than to dig stuff out of the ground and sell it is complaining that we’re bringing in too many educated people…
That would be an interesting idea… IPO and issuing new shares incurs a ‘tax’ where say 10% of those shares belong to the government, with the end result that all publicly traded companies are 10% government owned
But you’re still kinda right. Not voting is a vote for trump, and conservatives know this. Disenfranchisement via drug convictions is a key weapon in their arsenal.
There is currently a very funny, kind of sad dust-up over Helldivers 2, in which self-proclaimed “anti-woke” gamers have previously heralded it as a rare game where they believe “politics” does not play a factor. Their faith was been shaken by an Arrowhead community manager they believed they found to be (gasp)...
These are less for your education as it is for management/HR to absolve responsibility: “We trained them to not do <xyz>, it’s not our fault they did it”
It’s even better than that… We do have proof of ‘intelligent design’, except the intelligence doing the designing was people. Virtually all of our food was cultivated over centuries to be the way it is today. We literally forced evolution to happen to make bananas, tomatoes, corn, wheat, livestock, etc.
Yeah, we evolved that way because it’s apparently slightly more advantageous to keep sperm just slightly colder than internal body temperature, even though it creates a higher risk of injury. An intelligent designer would have made sperm that can handle warmer temperatures.
Donald Trump still hasn’t posted bond in his New York civil fraud trial, but his lawyer Alina Habba wants you to know that it’s definitely not because they’re having trouble getting the massive amount together....
In this case, yes. These cases have the potential to set precedents that would pave the way for future charges if someone else decides to copy him. This is what should have happened with Nixon.
Criminalizing drugs has only ever been harmful. The people using these drugs aren’t criminals, they’re victims. They need treatment, not jail. What fucking monster thinks that someone who has fallen to an incredibly addictive substance needs incarceration, not treatment? You think someone who got caught with a needle in their arms deserves the same treatment as a murderer? People have lifetime sentences for possession of heroin and rapists get a couple years.
That was one of the more interesting SOTU addresses I’ve seen. Personally, I think he said most of the things that needed to be said, and he said them reasonably well. I’m sure he’s going to get some flack for attacking Trump directly (though not by name), but I was frankly glad to see it. Doing otherwise makes it seem...
