I don’t use 4chan, I just download the funny snipped things like this. I generally avoid most hyper political memes because those are the hardest to repost. They also age the hardest. No one cares about the fly on pences head anymore so I can’t post those.

Not saying 4chan doesn’t have its problems or whatever, just my perspective for hoarding memes is I save what’s funny but also what I can repost elsewhere and for the longest time afterwards.

For most of history, you didn’t ask “what’s in it for me” when the king/prime minister/ The Church/ or President came asking (country irrelevant). That’s a relatively new luxury due to perspective of the digital age and disagreements with (the US) Government due to transparency.

For most of history “what’s in it for you” was actually getting fed and clothed better than the average peasant. Serving the king was what was in it because you didn’t have to sleep in pig shit and milk the cows every morning. You’d actually get fed for mealtimes instead of playing the barter game all summer and fall just to have enough food to store in salt barrels for winter. And even better, if you tickled enough enemy hearts with your pointy stick there WAS some land and money for you, provided you survived.

Some countries through history also revere their veterans (with actual respect and benefits) so military service itself was the honor. While I understand it’s a dramatization -the beginning of Disney’s Mulan is a great display of it. Her father is it is '60s or '70s and has already served once and has a bad leg. The emperor sends out a call for war and the guards show up in town. When they call his name he sets aside his cane and picks up the summons because that’s what you did. It is what was expected of him and he did it without complaint.

Above average complexity card in Yugioh when I started- Great Moth

This monster cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by Tributing "Petit Moth" on the 4th of your turns after "Petit Moth" has been equipped with "Cocoon of Evolution".Great Moth card effect fits as size 8 or so font. Clearly legible.

Average complexity I see onYugioh cards now - Mirage Swordsman

And so I bought a few pairs of headphones and schiit amp/dac to see if music making was what I could be good at. It is not. It’s not a game for everyone, but it is a lot of fun (if you enjoy building a tank). Part of why I really like it is there’s no real pve tank games right now and this is the closest offering. I’d fuckin kill for Warthunder-but-open-world. Or even mission based. This scratches part of that itch.

It’s not terribly far off. The barebones brutalist style where the chairs are attached to the floor, hard plastic molded tabletops. Lack of items that can be moved or taken completely conveys “do your business and leave”. Obviously a screen that size that wouldn’t be that accessible in a prison, but it only adds the harsh nature and lack of human touch of the room.

7/10 definetly reminiscent of chow hall.

I would welcome expanding my knowledge but what style do you consider buildings of few decorative designs other than their harsh geometric edges and shapes? The inner walls of a prison are often the outer wall. Just straight rows of cinderblock. Inside and outside, the structures lack other architechtural stylings because it creates hiding places or is viewed as extra work/cost during construction.Everything ends in a corner or an edge - no soft edges. As far as my experiences are concerned, that lines up pretty well unless you would rather use the word “spartan” in terms of how little decoration the state puts up.

Where prisons are function-over-form and may appear to meet the style - it is merely coincidental and is not usually artistic expressionism but rather necessity to perform a task.

This has been disproven and was called out at the time of the increase. Games cost less to develop now than ever. Microtransactions and recurrent subscription transaction1s like battlepasses mean a shit game gets to live longer than it would deserve. People have careers in the field and languages common to the industry - this isn’t a “new and groundbreaking” industry - its one of the largest on the planet.

Studios are absolutely not passing any of that $10 to lower level staff. It was to see if the market would bear it, and no other reason - and corporate defenders came out of the woodwork to pretend BILLION dollar corporations need more money. If videogames were too expensive to make, they’d not be spending so much, now would they?
