MW2 had many iterations of fan servers. It started with alterIWnet, and ended with IW4X, which was recently shut down by Activision with a cease and desist. Fan modded versions of the game with dedicated servers and a server browser, with known security vulnerabilities like this one already patched out. Thanks to Activision, there's now no way to safely play this game anymore.

So how much human involvement is required for something to become eligible for Copyright? If I'm an artist and I draw a character all by myself, but use AI to fill in the background, would that be eligible? If I'm a software developer and I occasionally let copilot autocomplete a line because it suggested the correct thing, does that mean the entire programm is now impossible to Copyright? Where is the line?

Toem is a very cozy polished little game that you can 100% in just over 4 hours. If you have an afternoon or two to kill, I definitely recommend it.

mil-sim horror game????

Hey all, the subject is basically the question. Are any of you aware of a mil-sim (or somewhat of a milsim) survival game? I know Arma 3 has some mods, but I just find A3 clunky and hard to manage content for. I am also aware of the chernobyl game, whose name escapes me... but it appears to have trouble running on modern...

Are there no other major fast-paced COD-style multiplayer FPS anymore?

I've always liked the CoD formula, but unfortunately paying 70€ for the latest MW2 to play something so basic seems not worth it, especially when said game will be abandoned next year. I tried searching on the Steam store, but it feels like there are no serious alternatives on this market. Anyone has a good suggestion that...

The game director behind xDefiant (Mark Rubin) has previously worked on multiple CoD titles and has pretty openly communicated about how xDefiant is directly adressing a number of issues that the CoD community has with current CoD titles.
