Moved from the USA over 25 years ago. Never moving back, though I visit. I sum it up like this: “Canada: better than the States—and no better than that.”
We sadly keep using the wrong yardstick. Or metre. I do like that we have metric.

I know the A-series is more common, but I sometimes prefer the B-series. It’s nice if, for example, you’re looking for something between A4 and A5 (i.e. B5)....
B6 has become my go-to size notebook for journaling. Used to be a committed A5 guy but the slightly smaller B6 is just handier for most situations, while still being more generous than a “pocket” size.
For the life of me I don’t understand the weirdly proportioned “B6 Slim” and its popularity.
I’ve had a great time playing some of the ‘smaller’ games lately: Dredge (adore this game so much), Dave the Diver, Cloudpunk, Stray, Octopath II, Observer....
Observation is one I really enjoyed. Mild puzzling, tension but not really the sort that kills you, and a fun, mind-bending story. Also the title track is just amazing.
Just for the heads up, this thread will probably have a lot of spoilers. I’m gonna try to go vague on spoilers for anybody that hasn’t played Hotline Miami 2. If you’ve played the game, you’ll probably know what I mean, but I’m going to say some purposefully esoteric shit to keep it out of full spoiler territory....
I cried that whole bit with the controller feeling like you’re missing an arm. So exact a representation of grief.
But the last scene, where the father simply falls to his knees at his son’s grave. He’s been granted his life back at a price no human parent would ever, ever accept. I cried racking sobs. It was so awful and true.
