ladicius,

Looks like the average German alternative sarcastic TV sci-fi show. Has strong vibes of Ijon Tichy including that strange but somehow attractive woman.

ladicius,

The concept really is bullshit, and that’s coming from a German. For certain kinds of triple digit numbers people sometimes resort to saying the single digits in a row (“drei fünf neun” instead of dreiundertneunundfünfzig). Less misunderstandings, and faster.

Linux on old School Machines?

Hi all, the private school I work at has a tonne of old windows 7/8 era desktops in a student library. The place really needs upgrades but they never seem to prioritise replacing these machines. Ive installed Linux on some older laptops of mine and was wondering if you all think it would be worth throwing a light Linux distro on...

ladicius,

Friend of mine runs Linux on a 15 years old cheap consumer laptop, and it’s working smoothly for browsing.

Just try. There’s no risk and no costs trying. Have fun.

ladicius,

And the studios didn’t run themselves before the purchases?

Is Microsofts PR AI that bad at dumb excuses?

ladicius,

You did that to recover her later, right? Right?

ladicius,

Looks really like a BotW/TotK knockoff, just without fights and beasts (as far as the trailer shows). I mean that nicely.

ladicius,

Oh dear, these poor people! How can they live without constant noise pollution and without dirty air? Unbearable fate. Tragic.

ladicius,

Your comment made me giggle. Thanks for the fun!

ladicius,

You sure she understood the question? That was a looong sentence with a lot of words.

ladicius,

I bought my Switch solely for Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. Both games alone were worth it.

Fortnite, Minecraft, No mans sky and all the other third party stuff does not always run smoothly but still are nice games for recreation.

ladicius,

They do be like that.

Played Lego Fortnite yesterday - a Frankenstein monster combined from two shitty entertainment companies. It’s hilariously unfathomably buggy.

ladicius,

Their games are notoriously bad. They simply rely on their fantastic reputation irl and can’t give a fuck about making good games - they sell enough games, even of the worst, just because they’re Lego.

Lego Fortnite on Nintendo Switch: Constant crashes.

I play that game with my oldest, and it’s constantly crashing, at least once an hour. Switch shows a lot of pop-ups regarding too many buildings and the likes, and then crashes completely after lagging annoyingly. Nintendo tells me to check the internet connection which is running smoothly around the clock, especially when...

ladicius,

Thanks for translating. As a non native English speaker I nearly got a stroke trying to understand these… words.

ladicius,

Isn’t there a huge incentive for failing leaders to start wars? A common enemy from the outside unites the parties on the inside, the critics have to step aside - a political move since forever, and still working perfectly, see Netanjahu as the newest addition to the list.

ladicius,

Some old map (1.5 AFAIK) and weapons.

They are in a phase of making bank with old content.

ladicius,

Retro content hyping the fans. Nothing special.
