Piwix,

Crazy how a 6 year old game is already releasing a “nostalgia” version.

simple,

Considering the target audience is like 14 years old, 6 years is almost half their lifetime, so no doubt a lot of teens are nostalgic for the old days

To say nothing of the unceasing pile of bullshit that is the last half decade or so, can’t fault anyone for wanting better than where we’re headed.

mammut,

It does feel crazy, but there are a surprising number of remasters that are only 5-6 years newer than the original. Bioshock 2 was remastered around 6 years after it came out. Arkham City was remastered 5 years after it came out. Darksiders was remastered about 5 years after it first came out.

I’m assuming this Fortnite release is probably on an updated engine (compared to the original) and maybe has updated models or something? In that sense I guess it’s just another remaster that’s only about 6 years newer than the original.

caut_R,

Is there a specific reason for this?

ladicius,

Retro content hyping the fans. Nothing special.

simple,

They released “fortnite OG” which returns the game back to how it was on release. Same maps, weapons, and mechanics.

Sounds interesting I loved older fortnite I joined in season 9 before a little before the big concerts and stuff I remember getting quite tired of the game with all its bloat soon after season 2 episode 2 and not touching it since then

Rai,

I want that sooooo much for PUBG. Bugs and all. No bots. Clothing clogging up loot. All-chat. Tricycle launches me into orbit.

Never had more fun playing a game with my partner.

osprior,

What is Fortnite OG? A rerelease of the original mode or something?

ladicius,

Some old map (1.5 AFAIK) and weapons.

They are in a phase of making bank with old content.

HelluvaKick,

Old map, but with No Build mode avaliable
