something_random_tho,

The only keyboard that solved all my wrist pain was the Kinesis Advantage Pro, which I learned alongside Colemak. Love the keyboard, and if it broke I’d buy it again tomorrow without hesitation.

something_random_tho,

I think the public school system is doing just fine on that front…

It wasn’t legal in the US either under the Fairness Doctrine until Reagan abolished it in 1987.

Trump plans to claim sweeping powers to cancel federal spending: In a second term, allies said the former president would look at funding cuts for the World Health Organization and green energy (wapo.st)

Classically, Congress held the power of the purse, able to both bar and require spending. This imposed a significant limit on Presidential power. With a bought court supporting him, Trump would have significant ability to essentially chart power as a king.

something_random_tho,

The reason states have more powers than the federal government is to test different methods of government and see what works best, then apply those lessons everywhere.

Turns out the red states consistently wind up much worse than the blue states. But they’re so brainwashed and poorly educated, they don’t learn from observing better outcomes elsewhere.

If everyone would have just injected bleach then no one would have died from COVID.

If you’re adding another repo, it’s not vetted by fdroid.

The California McDonald's rumor is coming from a digital ghost - The writer boosting McDonald's misinformation probably doesn't exist. (www.sfgate.com)

You probably haven’t heard the name Tony Bonnani, but he’s one of the most prolific writers on the internet. He publishes several articles a day, often churning out pieces within minutes of each other. Compared to most journalists, Tony Bonnani writes at a superhuman pace....

I used to think this too, but I learned that milk-producing cows are artificially inseminated every year to keep them producing milk. They only live 4-6 years because of the immense strain this puts on their bodies, after which they’re eaten. Cows naturally live 15-20 years. Even the process of getting them pregnant involves shoving your whole arm up their rectum–it’s really horrible to watch.

All dairy farms are inhumane. Some are worse than others. No cow gets a normal, full life.

Don’t forget the threats against the judge and his family, the jury and court staff. Needing a gag order just to keep people safe from intimidation should count for something.

something_random_tho,

I believe in the rights of the individual, which is why I support free health care, education, and housing for all, so that every individual has a chance to succeed, no matter where they come from.

“No, not like that.”

something_random_tho,

It could only know that by navigating to the link in the background. That would have side effects, like them being able to track you even when you don’t click on links.

something_random_tho,

The point of this is that it’s a redirect. The link isn’t taking you to xyz.com, it’s going to abc.com which redirects to xyz.com. The abc.com server redirects to the second link – there’s no way to know where it’ll take you unless you follow it.

Looks like “open source Figma.” If so, great!

something_random_tho,

I’ve used uBlock Origin for years and never knew about this. Just enabled it. Thanks!

gotta get a new printer

Greentings As youve seen from the the title, i want to get a new printer as a present for my parents. Sadly they are still windows peasants and my mom somehow thinks that the HP printer on her desk has been a good financial investment, even though it has costed us more than 300 bucks in ink over the past 2 years....

something_random_tho,

This is the way. My Brother laserjet is 15 years old and still kicking!

The one time a year you need to print photos, go to a FedEx Office or CVS.

If you haven’t tried it, Last Epoch was the first ARPG that got me hooked since D2. The itemization, crafting and skill systems are so good.

something_random_tho,

Overwatch 2 was a train wreck from day 1. I hope Blizzard has a come-to-Jesus moment where they start focusing on the actual games, players, and fun instead of how to maximize battle pass sales.

But tying bonuses to products penalizes the little guys for management derailing the project to begin with.

It took 2 years and an expansion before it was no longer “early access,” and as soon as it was actually good, they announced there would be no more updates.

Brazil military leaders told police Bolsonaro plotted to remain in power despite election defeat (apnews.com)

SAO PAULO (AP) — Two top Brazilian military leaders declared to police that former President Jair Bolsonaro presented them a plan for him to remain in power after the 2022 election he lost, but both refused and warned him they would arrest him if he tried it, according to judicial documents released Friday....

“If those kids could read, they’d be very upset.”

Car companies are directly sending this data to the brokers in exchange for “low millions of dollars.” Imagine destroying all consumer trust in a multi-billion dollar brand for so little. I would never even consider buying a GM or any brand involved in this.

Crazy how American gov claims the EU is unfairly targeting American companies… if the American gov did its job to break up these monopolies, the EU wouldn’t need to in the first place!

Codeberg only allows open source licensed code. If you’re working on non-free software you could self host Codeberg’s underlying software, or SourceHut is a different but other good option too.
