I must have gotten mine just before then. I still have the box and had to check; 8K branding. I got it somewhere between January and February, right around the time the thing started being regularly in stock again.

I feel like other grocers have already solved this problem by just not putting barcodes on the produce at all, and having the item manually punched in at the register while it’s on a scale (if it’s sold by weight and not per item).

They would remain 0 until flipped. They did say heavily modded, so like if you added more quests to the game, these all need some way of knowing what legs have been completed. The more modded quests completed, the bigger the save. And that’s just for one thing that a save would keep track of.
