I love the 24 hour clock and living in London, UK I used it all the time. However, I remember one time I bought movie tickets at lunch for 17:30 and my brain thought it was for 7:30pm and I called my friend at the last moment saying: “you have to leave work early if we’re gonna make it!”

Yup, I didn’t buy the Steam Deck to do 4K ray tracing at 120FPS. I bought it so I can pick up any Steam Deck Verified game and play it without relative issue. Being able to suspend the game immediately and just knowing things work beats fiddling with Windows on a handheld.

I was gonna say this was on par for the modern Christianity as we know it. I don’t think death threats are very Christian either but it seems that’s been par for the course now.

It’s weird because most hate it. I remember when Michael Moore’s movie came out and even those in red states were gathering together to say that if we let this go on then we’re complicit!
Then I think I remember Fox News and the right-wing going on a blitz. “Death Panels” and shit
Look at this disinformation campaign. This is what pisses me off about this “both sides” bullshit. Also, whenever any comedian jerks themselves off about speaking the truth and being philosophers going off on woke when they shut their mouths about shit like this.
I think making the rich mingle with the normal people more would be beneficial. It’s harder to dehumanize the poor when you’ve met them. Can’t call them lazy or stupid and just not “wanting” it enough when you see them work as hard as you and not getting as far.
Although, I think the way things are it’ll never happen though. Nepo babies would dodge everything even if something like this were to occur.
You’re absolutely right. I was trying to get what I hoped was the salient point out of the person’s post.
I knew a few guys in Europe I think maybe Austrian or something where they came from lots of money but went to school with “others” and they seemed pretty well-adjusted. Although, they have a lot of the other advantages that you’ve listed as well.
Weren’t Republicans crying about HIPAA (fixed spelling, thanks!) and shit earlier when asked if they got vaccinations? You guys actually care about sensitive patient health data or what’s up?
First time watching Lemmino and I’m an instant subscriber now, it was a great video. Not gonna lie the bait at the end was really enticing and I hope that this does get solved soon!
I was upset because I bought my Oculus headset before Facebook acquired it and then forced me to have a log in of theirs.
I decided not to have a Facebook account for a reason. Mainly because I don’t trust the company with my data. As enticing it is to have a VR headset and I would love to for their price … … I just don’t want to give Meta any more of my cash.
What’s happening in VR now is that Meta is licensing their Horizon OS so maybe other manufacturers can make their own headsets with Meta’s OS on top. That introduces another problem because I don’t trust that their OS isn’t spying on me either …
I think it helps not just in sales but also in terms of player count. I think just having it swarmed with the number of HellDivers makes it more alive too and gets other people more into it.
I’ve also purchased this game like three times. I bought it on PS5 so I could give it to my brother to play. Bought it for myself and for a friend of mine.
I really didn’t like FF7 Remake and I really wanted to like it. I’m a fan of the original and I liked the FF15 game despite it feeling a bit rushed and unfinished at the end and even with the battle system.
I think you do have a point about the action battle system. There’s something about it that just feels imprecise and unsatisfying compared to games in the new category it’s in (although I enjoyed FF15, so you can’t trust me)
What really bugged me is the cinematics/voice acting and story. I just finished GoW4 and Ragnarok back-to-back. I’m not expecting every game to be like GoW, but the cutscenes and stuff in FF felt so corny and cheesy after playing a game like GoW.
Also, they seem to milk Sephiroth to death. If this was a three part series, I didn’t expect to battle him once in the first game and let alone see him as much as I did (I thought the mystery of Sephiroth would have been a teaser for later games). Also, no idea what’s going on with the death clouds.
The game itself looks gorgeous though. I felt if I sent screenshots of the this game to myself as a kid, I’d have my mind blown.
That’s rather infuriating. I thought I heard stories about this and how certain food banks had to restrict students because the abuse was so high. Apparently it’s a “tip” that’s been passed around to international students.
My ex had a massive crush on the Rock. So we’d go see every movie. I was happy that she was so excited and it was a great time. Like you said, I’m not watching a Nolan or Scorsese movie and my expectations were pretty much met. I honestly couldn’t tell you the plotline to Rampage or the Skyscraper neither.
I’m on your side. Mainly because I was also really hoping for some sort of revival of Heroes of the Storm :P. Seriously, Blizzard is not the same company I thought I loved growing up.
However, I did watch someone on YouTube that talked about working Gears of War and execs of MS were less than helpful.
Here’s just an apropos of that, but one of the earlier companies I worked at in Canada was a Software Consultancy, like over 15 years ago.
Companies would and did reach out for things like a competition to enter and we’d have to code it up. The typical way it “used” to work was the big shots get a lot of money and they get a bunch of fresh out of UofT or UW grads to work hard to get it done.
Well, guess what, they screwed the pooch on this competition. For some reason, they rejected or didn’t collect ANY of the email submissions that were valid. So they couldn’t even pick a valid email to declare the winner. The company was furious and said, this isn’t our problem and we’re not going to manufacture a winner. So what my/that company did was it did log errors for invalid emails. They basically chose a winner from people that wrote invalid email addresses. I can’t remember but it was something like person@example.co.m. Why did they not do client-side and just relied on server-side? I don’t know. I wasn’t directly on the project. Anyways, they gave the prize to someone that did a typo.
