_ed, in Now Playing: The Last of Us Pt II

I remember at the time there were was a thread about which was the better game between TLOU2 and Ghosts of Tsushima, with the majority going for GOT. Having played that one, personally not so sure…

almar_quigley,

It’s hard to compare them, they aren’t the same genres really. I love both for different reasons. Got is closer to HZD than TLOU2.

lisko, in Roblox is ready to grow up

Has anyone ever played this? I have seen coverage of it in online news and it doesn’t even look like an interesting game.

roblox is literally one of the most popular multiplayer games currently on the market and probably has like 95% brand recognition among people under 13 so yes, a lot of people play roblox.

That’s just one more reason to love the Valheim devs

I just wish they made less resource intensive snowstorms.

any1th3r3, in Game Pass - What's your favorite sleeper hit?

i haven’t had much of a chance to get to game pass titles yet, but i highly recommend the A Plague Tale duology (Requiem is still on game pass and is my favourite game in recent memories).

i would also recommend checking out Gamika.me, it makes filtering game pass (and ps plus) games much easier imo (although it can be a bit slow to load initially).

ObiGynKenobi,

+1,000 for Requiem. I adored the first game, and Requiem instantly jumped into my top 5 favorite games of all time. Such a tense, beautiful, well-written experience.

strudel6242,

You still on vanilla, or have you started diving into Greg’s mods?

Lowbird, in Game Pass - What's your favorite sleeper hit?

Ravenlok is dope. It’s easy, and button-mashy, but my god the visuals and music make up for all of it. It swept me away. I think it would be especially fantastic for kids, but definitely enjoyable for adults to.

Valheim is great in single-player, to my surprise.

I like Redfall. ducks But seriously, I do. I like the big open world, the over-the-top vampire thing, the feeling of finding the best way to sneak up on the enemy and take them down. The guns feel satisfying to me. I get excited every time I find a better one. I’m curious where the story is going. Some of the set pieces and environmental storytelling moments are really cool.

I haven’t encountered many bugs at all. One time some enemies appeared out of nowhere, but honestly that just fit in with the vibe of the game anyway.

The AI is dumb, but… I’m finding I don’t care. They’re numerous and still manage to kill me sometimes. I’m ignoring it entirely the same way I ignore it in the original Deus Ex.

It’s not a Dishonored or a Prey, but it’s not trying to be, either. It’s great if you just want to explore an interesting map and do some sneaking and shooting and looting.

I’m obviously the minority in this opinion, but also, it’s on gamepass, so it doesn’t cost anything to try if you haven’t. I almost didn’t because of the reviews and I’m very glad I gave it a chance anyway.

I appreciate overwatch, because the sequel cured my videogame addiction (it’s so much worse)

Master Of Orion. Both the original, it's sequel and the modern remake. It's nice to play something with different pacing from other games. And the random outcomes from AI throughout the game's progression keeps things spicy from playthrough to playthrough.

Used to when I had the space and setup (had a Samsung Odyssey+), sadly didn’t get to finish HL:Alyx.

I’m surprised that Ctrl+F “Superhot” → 0 matches, that one was amazing to complete

GoVegan, in Give me your favorite indie games!

My all time favourite has to be The Return of the Obra Dinn. In my opnion it is the single best detective game. Not only is the narrative very captivating, but the deduction process cant be brute forced. It simply is a master piece.

crisinho,

Return of the Obra Dinn is great. The game has so much style and executes its premise perfectly. However, I did hit a wall at some point where I just can't seem to get any other clue. By any chance, do you have any tips how to proceed in this case? I know it's just a shot in the dark.

GoVegan,

It's been so long since I've played I don't think I can offer much useful advice. What I can say is that sometimes the game can be a bit finicky with causes of death. Impaled vs stabbed. So mb try switching those where it seems logical

Pretty much any of the Zachtronics games. Shenzen I/O, ExaPunks, Opus Magnum, and Last Call BBS are all fun "puzzle" games for programmers and people with programmer brains.

Giants: Citizen Kabuto

It was a kinda janky 3D Action Adventure from around 2000. Back then it had really beautiful and colorful graphics. I remember playing it on my first "real" PC and being amazed by how it looked.

It also stands out to me for being actually funny and comitting to being a comedy game.

Opteryx,

I loved this game! The humour was my favourite part - very dry and very British. A fun shooter with a lot of variety. Amazing soundtrack by Jeremy Soule. I found the game very difficult, though - I doubt I ever got close to finishing it. How about you?
