Annoyed_Crabby,

From looking at skyrim remaster, oblivion/fo3 just gonna be texture update and some lighting/shader change, that’s it.

Annoyed_Crabby,

Es6 2024 2026? Doubt it.

Annoyed_Crabby,

Yeah i’m with the other guy. On one hand lemmy need content, so talking about the lastest exciting thing makes sense, on the other hand there’s that dude whining about content they don’t like to see instead of keep scrolling.

Keep doing them good work dude.

Annoyed_Crabby,

Did you ask the same question when Witcher 3, Legend Of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, etc etc the same question?

It’s sort of dishonest when Starfield get this sort of treatment when metacritic score has been inflated for ages, no thanks to both gamer, journalist, and publisher.

Annoyed_Crabby,

He got more punctuation than before though.

Understandable, have a nice day.

Annoyed_Crabby,

Lol, that works, didn’t see that button down there

Annoyed_Crabby,

That’s why when it come to score, i just look at the total score to see how many people dig the game, and only watch/read review that doesn’t include scoring and might have similar taste as me, and only read negative review in steam to see whether i can put up with the bad part of the game.

Annoyed_Crabby,

“all these planet are boring”

Yeah, as if Mars and Pluto is interesting. People want this game to fail because it isn’t a better game than the darling Baldur’s Gate 3. And gamer has been like this for a while: either the game is 10/10 or it’s shit/10, there’s no between.

I remember the time when zelda botw came out and jim sterling gave it a 7/10,people went banana over that lol. Starfield and Witcher 3 may very well be a 6 or 7/10 game, and that’s okay.

Annoyed_Crabby,

It’s a space exploration game with thousands of planet, they can depict planet being a barren rock and can be fun.

Personally i don’t think all games are good, arguing with people parroting that is a waste of time. Personally Witcher 3 is mediocre, but i’m allowing people to love it and see it as 10/10. Game is personal taste, if you don’t like that sort of thing then it isn’t for you, no such thing as “all game is good”.

Annoyed_Crabby,

I think in Starfield case it’s less of sacrifice fun for realism and more of having these realism for a reason. From the review alone, the location is boring, and that’s by design, because you can either ignore it or interact with it, like gather resource or build a base. There’s thousands of planet, it’s not realistic to all be handcrafted and interesting, because what’s interesting for the first 10 times will get boring when you do it 50 times.

There’s a reason why they design it that way, and i think it’s rather fair for this sort of game.

Not counting games that were unfun because of bugs, what’s the most unfun video game that you’ve played and what made it unfun?

Most of the video games I’ve played were pretty good. The only one I can think of that I didn’t like was MySims Kingdom for the Nintendo DS. Dropped that pretty quickly. It was a long while ago, but I’ll guess it was because there were too many fetch quests and annoying controls.

Annoyed_Crabby,

Noita, it’s the most sadistic “normal” game that i’ve ever played, barring those troll game that’s meant to be rage inducing. It’s a good game, but dang this game is bloody hard it become unfun the more i play as i couldn’t make any progress.

Maybe i’ll give it another try in the future 🤔

Annoyed_Crabby,

Yeah, i get recommended it a lot too, and also follow the game development since the dev start posting devlog, but playing it is…infuriating.

Annoyed_Crabby,

While i agree that it’s rather punishing, but to me it feels like that’s how it works under a dictatorship. I like how i need to work toward some of the ending by breaking the law

Annoyed_Crabby,

I know, i’m enjoying the first few hours just learning thing and then the fun-ness just keep plunging afterward because i keep getting bad rng after bad rng for a few days and just decided to quit.

Annoyed_Crabby,

Yeah, i get games like binding of isaac or risk of rain 2 that the first level i can already know whether this run is gonna be shit/fun/sure-win, or game like rogue legacy where i can slowly upgrade my stats, this one i feels like i can be ultra careful but i can still get destroyed instantly without it being my fault. It’s what makes me give up

Annoyed_Crabby,

Fallout series doesn’t have jail though, every conflict is solve with fight to the death, so this indicate it’s more like ES than FO.

Annoyed_Crabby,

-800k concurent player on launch

-no drm and can be pirated on first day

-some exec: that could’ve been higher if you get Denuvo in it.

Annoyed_Crabby,

Lol, i never did as well and i play normal, but because i just don’t have the patient to go that far. Gods know how many time i’ve create a new world now, same for terraria but at least i made it to plantera.

Also yes very tired after work.

Annoyed_Crabby,

I tried Lies of P recently, made it to the first boss, and i just quit. This coming from someone who play dark souls, that boss is just too spongy and i have no patient to get through that, i have not much time to game anyway.

So i just get back to Project Zomboid.
