Tres leches is whole milk, condensed milk, and evaporated milk. Dulce de leche isn’t standard for it. But I’m sure it makes a great addition.

I’m not sure, but his strips are really good.

His Bluesky account is really fun too. Talks a lot about some of the deep lore of Popeye (like stuff that hasn’t been seen since the Thimble Theater days) and how that informs his strips.

I don’t like the idea of increasing enforcement against moldy posts, just because I’m not super plugged in to things and I don’t always know if something is moldy when I post it. Over enforcement of those kind of subjective rules tends to make it difficult for newbies to post.

Some stores in the US do this, most notably Aldi. It’s kind of a pain in the ass, especially in an increasingly cashless society.

The thing is, you’re not looking at this as a job, or an investment, or a profit-generating enterprise. You have a friend who is staying with you, and helping you with the bills. I don’t see any ethical issues at all with this.

I actually find myself in a similar situation, as my friend just left her partner, and, well, I had a spare room. She kicks me a little money to help with the bills, and I keep a roof over her head until she has somewhere better to go. In my mind, that’s different than looking at landlording as a job, or worse, an investment to generate passive income.

What I’m saying is that intent matters.
