I work in a customer facing position in the US where factions of an inch are used for measurements frequently in the design of a product. I deal with people who don’t know 5/8 is smaller than 3/4 or that 3/8 is smaller than 1/2 on literally a daily basis.

People are dumb and I absolutely believe the burger anecdote.

I kept eyeballing the Keychron Q6 or the Ducky One 3 but neither scratched the itch for design and or aesthetics that I was looking for. or materials for that matter. Quality full size custom keeboards are almost non-existant. I think I’ve found maybe 6 total.

The closest you are going to get is one of the Keychron customs Q6, K10, K5. They lack in the design department and some of the nice meterial options but are functional if you want a full custom layout.

Trying to find really nice full layout keyboards is basically a unicorn hunt.

I’ll have to get back to you on that. These will be my first ABS Keycaps. I didn’t plan it this way but my last 5 (6?) sets have all been PBT. Obviously I’m not worried about the legend disappearing but I’ll have to give a 6 month check in on the texture/feel.

If you aren’t storing your keys in S1, A1-10 what are you even doing? S4, B3 is for beef jerky, and S2, C2 is for volotiles but nothing nearly as bad as S2, C4 for what should be clear reasons. S4, D2-20 is for dice obviously,

I think I know exactly what choice you are talking about. I felt the same way to a certain extent. Let me use a level one or two spell slot to cast a glamour or something.

HOWEVER: What you get out of it in my opinion is worth it 100% also if you are on Pc there is a mod that takes care of the main problem with this gift. It’s the only mod I’ve got running at the moment.

Be warned! That’s how they get you… pretty flashy things that cost waaaaay to much money. You tell yourself you couldn’t possibly justify spending that much on a keyboard. Maybe you’ll just try an entry level mechanical keyboard. But what case? What Switches? WHAT CAPS!?! You get a Keychron or something tons of people recommend and at first it’s amazing, unlike anything you’ve ever typed on. But then you see something NEW that has a feature you want to try or maybe a group buy Keycap set from your favorite franchise that just looks awesome (I’m looking at you Black speech of Mordor keycaps) ! The next thing you know you have an IKEA Billy bookcase displaying your collection and a $365 keeb is just another Tuesday.

Don’t give me any ideas, I have an immersion circulator and this is exactly the stupid kind of shit that gets me in trouble with the wife.

Although now that you mention it, if I could figure out a good tempurature to increase the elasticity of the tape I could get a better seal around the chips and… yeah prolly better not.
