Not a single soul wants this. They just want to use every foul trick to get you to use copilot (by accident even) just like they do with bing and their other garbage.

I think it’s good, although the situation does seem to be somewhat dysfunctional on the game front. They’ve made literally dozens of projects, some near completion, all abandoned for one reason or another. I think this video does a good job of demonstrating it. It summaries a digital book called “Half Life Alyx: The final hours” written by a valve employee. Here: youtu.be/mHdrosltGJA?si=9TodoaYu95HMtRqf
One frame is probably in the context of the screen, not the framerate of the games. (The deck doesn’t have variable refreshrate so the screen will always use the same underlying framerate)
Presumably they could never afford to port to mobile themselves, without cooperating with Netflix. Since you don’t want to pay for a Netflix subscription… You’re not missing out on anything. It wouldn’t have existed if not for Netflix.
By that logic buying a better pc is cheating because it gives you an advantage. We need some nuance here. All modifications to game files are not cheating, (even if not allowed in any case), because well, not all modifications are cheats. This is a great example actually, because AMD sanctioned, graphics card driver latency reductionisn’t a cheat. Obviously the way it was implemented was clearly very problematic and should’ve never been greenlit.
However, this isn’t an unintentional cheat and detecting it as such is incorrect. It is, however, a modification and those are reasonably disallowed, it is totally fair to disallow that.
A poorly optimized game will not put your pc to the limit. Instead it will bottleneck itself on stupid issues and inefficiencies. Your pc will actually not be utilised to its full potential. Make no mistake, this game isn’t slow because it’s gorgeous and advanced, it’s slow because graphically it’s poorly made.
The worst thing is when people who have absolutely no clue about game development believe advertisements and hype and get really opinionated about stuff they know nothing about, such as engines, tech or techniques.
To be fair - people don’t know what they want until they get it. In 2005 people would’ve asked for faster flip phones, not smartphones.
I don’t have much faith in current gen AI assistants actually being useful though, but the fact that no one has asked for it doesn’t necessarily mean much.
