Israel using Meta's WhatsApp to kill Palestinians in Gaza through AI system (www.middleeastmonitor.com)

According to software engineer and blogger, Paul Biggar, however, one key detail on the methods employed by the Lavender system that is often overlooked is the involvement of the messaging platform, WhatsApp. A major determining factor of the system’s identification is simply if an individual is in a WhatsApp group containing...

I have been have my eye on Cube World for ages, is Veloren empty?

TwinTusks,
@TwinTusks@bitforged.space avatar

The two games are not even remotely related, 0AD is more comparable to Age of Empire series.

TwinTusks,
@TwinTusks@bitforged.space avatar

0AD is really fun (and hard)

TwinTusks,
@TwinTusks@bitforged.space avatar

my 2012 laptop cant handle it (cant even launch).

This is a fun but hard game, never pass beyond three levels

I can beat easy AI, but theres like 60% chance I’ll lose on normal.

I noticed that I’m not good with mid/late games. I win easily if I rush the enemy. However, I like to build up when I’m in the lead, but I am not good at it.

Chances are, I spend a lot of time treating the game as city builder and when AI rushes, my army are too spread out. And when I’m rushing, I can’t keep up with the reinforcements, so when my wave was blocked, I’m bascially sitting ducks as AI would slowly encroaching my base.

I understand, however, I noticed that during mid-game I tends to treat the game as city-builder and be more relaxing. Thus, “no unit that does nothing” and “no building produces nothing” doesnt seem fun to me, and the reason why I’m being overwhelmed by the AI.

Automattic just buys everything these days.

This is the interesting part, looking at their list of acquisitions, none of them seems to be generating any revenue. I only know wordpress, simplenote, tumblr and pocketcasts (lifetime user).

I wanna get the game, but its still quite expensive in my country. Currently sitting 107.6 RMB, thats half a days wage for me.

Drastic is a fantastic DS emulator for android, it recently became free. I bought it over a decade ago and has been a blast.

    China wants to rid itself of Western tech by 2027 -- outlines domestic alternatives in 'Document 79' (www.tomshardware.com)

    The WSJ reports that China is on an extensive push to drive out Western tech companies from the country and replace them with domestic alternatives. China reportedly started its domestic expansion in 2022 with a highly secretive “Document 79,” an initiative focused on deleting Western tech companies from the country. Since...

    Thats basically daily life in Xi’an China.

    Xi’an (Western Peace), the thousand year old city located in Western China is also known as Chang’an (Long/Eternal/Enduring, (you get the idea) Peace) was the captial of Han Dynasty (206 BC–9AD), Tang Dynasty (618AD–907AD) and many other smaller Kingdoms throughout Chinese history. In modern times, it is quite well known that any residential, commerical, or even transit development has a high chance of digging up some ancient grave, most notebly royal tombs.

    It is said that in Xi’an, when you travel through the underground subway, it is very likely that ancient ghosts would stare at you for disturbing their long sleep.

    “Those people were not interred in a regular cemetery although we have designated plague cemeteries in Nuremberg,” said Langbein.

    “This means a large number of dead people who needed to be buried in a short time frame without regard to Christian burial practices,” she said.

    Because of this, an epidemic such as the plague is “more than likely” the explanation for the mass graves, according to Langbein.

    Shouldn’t they wear masks and stuff?

    TwinTusks,
    @TwinTusks@bitforged.space avatar

    Definitely, the number of people have died thoughout history drastically outweight the number of living people today. If ghosts exists, Earth would be very crowded indeed (not to mention all those animals and … dinosaurs).

    I know nothing of coding.

    From pictures, I get that you submit a code, which didn’t work. You were told that you have a week to fix the code, and in the meantime they closed your patch and a fix was used.

    Issue here is that you claim the fix was still your code … and they said its their own code.

    How to prove that?

    TwinTusks,
    @TwinTusks@bitforged.space avatar

    Yes, you mentioned that multiple times in your communication with Leah.

    However, we have no way of confirming the patch they use is the same one that you submit (have you submited? from communication it sounds like you have a week to provide a patch and then they just patch it themselves).
