Wrath of the Righteous is such a crazy good game. I started BG3 when I was halfway through RotR and I was so confused because I thought I was skipping parts of the character gen. It took me awhile to realize there just isn’t that much to choose from for classes.

I don’t know. The Owlcat games have a really deep system that Divinity and BG3 don’t have. Is that just because of the pathfinder ruleset? Or does Larian do better with simpler systems? I don’t have an answer to those questions. It might be cool to see a BG3 “version” of Pathfinder, but I think it would lose something in the process.

    At first glance it’s like “that’s pretty crude, it could be a lot better”, but it probably took way more time than you imagine. Even if they copy/pasted cells for a “paint brush” they still need to create the outlines, and that’s tedious af.

    I have zero hope for Elder Scrolls 6 now. How in the world can you not plan out a game given all those resources? And it was a blank slate too, they could have done anything at all with Starfield.

    If you have 9 years to make a game and can’t figure out how to make it fun until the last year (bethsoft devs have said this happened) what are you even doing making games?
