At some point we neet to act even if we start a larger conflict, otherwise Russia will always win because we are too afraid to fight back. Also we need to show other asshole countries that they can’t hide behind their weapons and do atrocties when ever they want.

I dont like Sholz’s explanation, if you even want to call it one, but I also don’t think we keep them as a last line of defense, as Zelenskyy is framing it, since we have our NATO allies who can handle Russia with ease if they do something more stupid, than they already do.

In fact most germans dont know why we are not sending Taurus to Ukraine or understand the reasons behind this decision, but I think Ukraine will ultimately get them like they did get our other weapons and tanks. It’s just this unnecessary long process of our politicians that I absolut hate and do not unterstand, since we have to stop those Russians by any means and as fast as possible to prevent further casualites…

you do realize that Nato is not at war, right?

I’m not saying Europe shouldn’t do more, but at the moment we provide Ukraine with ammunition and equipment while we also have to make sure that our own forces have enough for a possible war with russia.

If this would be an actual war, Russia would loose it in a few weeks, no need for a long time military operation…

this will never be resolved. Russia has already shifted its economy to war, they are not gonna leave or surrender it’s all or nothing for them…

No country can run on a war economy forever, eventually it starts to harm the living standards of the population

I agree to that, but Russia can endure this also for a long time and doesn’t give a shit about its population, that much we already know. We are now in the second year of this degnerated war and the west is already showing signs of fatigue. So it’s more about how long we as the collective west can endure this war and the support for Ukraine and with Trump on the horizont for the americans and the rise of those far right dipshits here in germany and other countries in europe, I’m not that optimistic.

To really end this war I think the western countries and the NATO have to do a lot more in terms of direct support with more weapons, training, ammunition and support for Ukraine, i personally would also favor NATO troops in Ukraine. They also have to cut ties with Russia in every single aspect, isolate them from everything, cease their money and give it to ukraine, punish their oligarchs, enforce every single sanction a lot harder (with force if necessary) and completley ignore all the intimidations, even their threats with nuclear weapons.

Because Russia must not win this war! If they would win, it would show that every country can attack and do whatever the fuck it wants and also manipulate and surpress others under the protection of their nuclear weapons and we have to prevent this at any cost.

Or we improve the whole system and change what does not work. If you act contrary to international law and get the rest of the UN agrees to that in a democratic vote, why not get rid of those russian criminals or at least let them loose their right to veto anything.
