Here’s the thing: doing something does not always work, but doing nothing never does.
In the provided screenshot, the devs themselves explain that asking for refunds and leaving bad reviews is what gives them enough pull to even have the discussion with sony.

Of course you don’t have to do anything, but you really don’t accomplish anything by bothering the people who actually try to find ways to make the situation better.

First, thanks for doing the work of checking sources for articles posted here, I believe you add value to the conversation.
This being said, I happen to disagree with you - here’s why.

There seems to be a common misconception about bias and trustability.

The site you linked to has two ratings: factual reporting and bias.

Factual reporting is determined by how they do their jobs: do they check their facts and sources before they publish?
ABC news australia is voted 4/5 on that scale, which I’d say makes them pretty trustworthy - most of the time, they report accurate and verified information.

Bias is the way you choose the informations you report and how you comment on them. For exemple, while reporting the same information “billionaires are now x% richer than last year”, a left biased paper could comment on how non billionaires are getting poorer and a right biased paper could list the billionaires and applaud their financial choices. As a strongly left biased person myself, I’ll ignore the right biased paper nit because I think they’re lying, but because I don’t find their commentary relevant.
Everybody and every news source is biased, and it’s okay. There is usually no neutrality possible when you do journalistic work, because your job is to provide context and commentary around the facts that you report.

IMO, bias is not a metric helpful to determine credibility, and I find it a little detrimental that the site you linked to has bias and fact checking displayed at the same place without providing a better differentation between the two.

On a side note, the pursuit of a fictionnal “journalistic neutrality” supposedly devoid of any bias has been and still is weaponized in the french news, where women, muslils or people or color are told they can’t report on subjects that they know well because they are supposedly too close to the topic and wouldn’t be able to stay neutral. While of course cishet white privileged men can report on those subjects because they are more “objective”…

For the execution, can’t you configure the fstab with noexec on partitions where the user has write permissions and give the user read-only permissions on the root partition ?

I think this would be fine for most jobs, the exception being software development where you usually need to execute stuff to test your programs.

Been using Deltachat for about a year, so far so good. I dunno how secure it really is (never took the time to check) but it’s been reliable. Multi-device was kinda quirky at first but has gotten better.

I picked it up last week, and I’m having a great time - although I suck at it, the ambiance really clicks for me and the pace is good enough to keep me interested even if I spend one hour on a single ennemy (looking at you chained ogre).

Dunno if it’s on sale, but Solasta Crown of the Magister is a great dnd game made by a small studio. It’s much shorter, but imo the general mechanics are really good and the use of height in combat is better than in bg3.

As they are a small studio, they did not have the money to buy all dnd licensed content upfront (Wizard if the Coast makes it quite expensive). When the game was a success, they added dlcs for additional races/classes they could now afford.
Lost Valley and Palace of Ice add new campaigns (they are ok but I enjoyed the base campaign more).

If having all the races and classes from official dnd content matters to you, I would recommend the Unfinished Business mod (you can find it on nexusmods). Personnally I played the first campaign with the limited options from the base game and I still had a real blast :)

Yes you can.
I spend a lot od time fixing things that I broke because I like it and it’s a hobby for me.

I installed Linux Mint Debian Edition on my SO’s laptop last year (old thinkpad t470) and I haven’t had to do anything about it since then. The installation process was easy, I didn’t bother changing the defaults and just clicked “Next” on most of the steps.

Can you share with us the hardware you’ll be using ? In most cases it’ll be easy peasy, but some stuff is known to cause issues that we might be able to identify before you start your journey.

I guess it depends on the area. In France, airbnbs are usually cheaper than hotels (especially if you’re 2 or more). Plus having a kitchen means saving quite a lot on food compared to having to eat at restaurants or takeouts.

In France, we’ve had electric trains since the 60s, diesel train were phased out except for some lines with exceptional difficulty.
We also had electric streetcars in big, medium and small cities before ww2, they were taken out to make more place for… ICE cars.

Public transportation tech has been ready for a long long time. Cars are the worst way of transportation, saying tech was not ready because electric cars were “garbage” does not make a lot of sense.

Solasta is one of my current favorite games :)
It’s (imo) better than bg3 for dnd mechanics, combat is good, and the story is ok (it lacks the vastness of choice you get in bg3).
I recommend using the Unfinished Business mod (you can find it on nexusmods) as it adds lots of species and classes and some QoL improvements.

What games do you recommend for my girlfriend?

My girlfriend has never really gamed. But she’s now forced to move less than she would like to (health problem) and she’s getting bored. I was thinking of introducing her to a game or two that we could play together. She’s not the real action game type, and seeing as she has no experience with controller/mouse and keyboard...

I tried It Takes Two with my SO, and they hated it because of the need to control the camera - so we went to 2d platformers after that.

I finished It Takes Two with my sister, small warning: the game is mostly feel good at the beginning, but in the end you’re gonna have to do some horrible things.
I didn’t mind - I’ve done a lot worse in other games where I didn’t have to - but she did not enjoy these parts of the game.
