Personally, it’s Faith from Farcry 5 for me. Uninteresting dialog that can be summed up to “I was bullied once” and that’s it. Literally every other character is so much more interesting. Jacob gives you a sequence where you run through a gulag which he then uses against you, John tries to kill you and is openly hateful...
Layers. Think of Shift key as turning on the CAPS layer, and Ctrl turning on the cut/copy/paste/save/new layer. Add more combos a layer keys, and every key ends up having 3-5 combinations that can replicate an entire keyboard.
Instead of two thumbs covering only one giant key (space), you give each thumb 2-3 keys. And 1-2 of those are to shift layers, so it becomes pretty natural once you get over a learning curve.
I’m planning on soldering my next KB, do you guys have any tips on soldering irons, solder materials, etc, to make it go smoothly? I’ve only soldered bulky stuff so I have a soldering iron appropriate for a gorilla.
What I mean by this, is instead of when you fail and are met with a game over, the game finds some way to keep it going. Instead of being forced to reset to a previous save or an autosave checkpoint, the game’s story continues in an interesting path. Are there any games like this?...
Planescape: Torment is an old PC RPG similar to Baldur’s Gate 1&2. Your character recovers from death in the morgue (which is where the game starts) and occasionally it will trigger memories in your character, who has amnesia of sorts.
I love this entire thing. Your story of how you landed on Piantor is so close to my story (including Moonlander, Colemak-DH, and not wanting a ricer!) except to the point where I bit the bullet and bought a keyboard.io Atreus. But now I want to have an ergo split without spending another $250ish and I’m stuck in analysis paralysis, that I am going to follow your footsteps and build a Piantor as well.
If you don’t mind me asking, how much did you end up spending to finish that one? Was the actual soldering difficult at all?

I use quotes much more than colon and semicolon, so I swapped the keys (lemmy.world)
And then I moved colon and semicolon to layers and re-assigned that outer pinky key to my rarely used AltGr key.
Now that Deus Ex has been cancelled, what other games scratch the Deus Ex itch?
It’s kind of sad that one of the greatest video game series is on hold for now....

Who, in your opinion, is the most annoying character in any game?

What are some games that "spin" failure states?
