oxideseven,

In before next week’s article that the Montreal office is permanently closed and all workers let go.

oxideseven,

I’m with you here.

I played it just recently so I didn’t get to play with as many people as I’m sure there were at the start. I did encounter others frequently enough though. Even played with 1 person for a big chunk.

It was fine. It’s pretty and it has soul for sure but it’s not a transcendent experience like so many seem to describe. Maybe I’m broken in my own way, maybe I missed something, maybe I don’t understand art. Who knows.

I had fun though and it was worth the price.

oxideseven,

Witcher 3 took me a few attempts before I finally got into it. And those types of games were always my favorite.

I don’t think Witcher 3 stuck until the DLCs. Now I’m sad I’m done with the game…

oxideseven,

Gris hooked me much more than Journey.

Gris broke me lol. It was so beautiful, so emotional.

oxideseven,

There are still players. Much more rare I’m sure. I played maybe 4 months ago and met a few people.

oxideseven,

Was that dev me?

When it was first made available to the public I played about an hour or 2 and then stopped so I didn’t spill the game. My one big take away was that I really hated all the companions, especially sheart.

I’m glad how well written they all ended up.

oxideseven,

Yayayyayayayyayayayay. I’m excited. The Fable games never felt truly finished and fully fleshed out, but I loved them all and played them so much.

oxideseven,

Or Jack Black. I love him, but this dumb Hollywood trend of hiring Jack for anything comical is absurd.

oxideseven,

There are parts of your sleep that you’re basically unconscious and nearly impossible to wake.

The dreams could be a whole life being uploaded to your brain, hence the weirdness, until it’s initialized and you wake up.

oxideseven,

From them of course! :D

oxideseven,

Starting Rogue Trader this week. Having fun with it.

oxideseven,

I was booed out of 2 guilds for suggesting the grind is dumb and that real content is better.

Once in WoW years after release when they introduced dailies. Which are a crock.

And once in Conan Exiles where the server owner kept making content, a lot of being amazing, but half of it being pointless getting dailies.

I was kind of shocked at how many people love dailies for some reason. Easy brain shut off tasks I guess?

oxideseven,

Been waiting on this game for like 8 quadrillion years.

I have no hope it will ever release. Communication has been horrendous and every few years we get a neat video and nothing else. I backed this like 10 years ago…

oxideseven,

Only been playing balatro. Now it’s fully out. Hooray!

oxideseven,

A thousand times yes.

I’m so sad they stopped making those. 3 and 4 had SO MUCH character and style!

oxideseven,

Sheesh. That’s a tough one. My memory is trash from TBIs… Maybe pong, or space invaders? I think it would be something that was in an arcade. Our first console was the NES with SMB, but we definitely played in arcades before that.

oxideseven,

Prepare to do lots of crying. I cried a lot with this game. It’s wonderful.

oxideseven,

To heck with WotC! Play Shadow of the Demon Lord/Weird Wizard

oxideseven, (edited )

Zelda BotW and TotK. I just kind of get board cus the game is so wide but so shallow. I wish I could like it cus there is a ton to like.

Any souls like. They just seem very lazy and the combat is just silly to me.

Just about any competitive game honestly. Part of it is I suck at them but mainly the trash talking toxic communities. Plus honestly I’m not very competitive.

Pokemon. I can’t wrap my head around the complexity and “meta” and the story doesn’t real matter anymore. I did like my first Pokemon game but that’s it.

Most Mario except Mario RPG. I played the heck out of SMB 1-3 but when that was all that was available. When games expanded so did my tastes I guess.

oxideseven,

FFT is probably my all time favorite as well.

The tone, setting, story, art style has remained unmatched in my mind.

Tons have tried to replicate the tactics combat stuff and plenty have succeeded and improved or changed upon that formula, but I don’t think any of them have had that feel to it. Even the other FFT games.

Do people riding horses gross you out too, or relying on dogs to find injured people in accidents? Animals have had jobs with people throughout history.

Do you not fight wolves, attack dogs, dragons, and other animals on any other game you’ve played?

You don’t have to butcher your pals. There is no in game need for it. You have pals, you pet them and feed them and provide for their needs and they help you cut a tree down. Sometimes they don’t feel like it and they just don’t do it. What’s the problem?

oxideseven,

This company’s whole thing is to basically copy other successful games and make their own spin. Same company as Palworld.

oxideseven,

SO STRESSFUL!

I love this game so much. I have to constantly walk away from the stress lol.

oxideseven,

Because people can’t have different opinions?

I still think the game is fine. I still think it did some very interesting things. I got over 100 hours of playtime from it. I played on gamepass too. So I definitely got my monies worth.

Does it have problems? Sure. Quite a few, but it’s still enjoyable enough of you don’t expect the too much. It also had tons of potential of they actually release the creation kit.

I don’t think it’s the worst game ever. It’s not even their worst game.

oxideseven,

I had fun with it. I put in about a hundred hours.

It’s fine. It’s not complete crap and had tons of potential. It missed the mark on a few things for sure.

These constant aggressive comments from the Dev team though… That I’m not a fan of.

oxideseven,

Played for about 6 hours, great time. I only had 1 “bug” do far. A tutorial popped up before I did something to trigger it. That thing was in the room though.

I don’t ever get many bugs though while gaming so I’m probably not the best example.

oxideseven,

Heck yeah! What a great crossover! The alien powers will fit in nicely.

oxideseven,

I played it for a bit. Maybe did 4 or 5 missions. It was good I guess but also weirdly bland? Like it has all this character and style but for whatever reason it just didn’t really hook me.

I think I had some very minor issues with the game rules being sort of inconsistent. Like I’d setup something that should keep me stealth but if be immediately found out. Or something that would show certain people being hit or not hit wouldn’t be accurate. It was disheartening.

All that said, I think others might really like it. I think it’s on gamepass, so try it out if you have time!

oxideseven,

SNES or PS1. Tough call either way. So many games that really did it for me on both of those. I haven’t cared about consoles since really.

oxideseven,

I don’t understand what happened with this game…

My bothers and I played it quite early on and it was fine. We didn’t stick with it or anything. Just another spot to play together. No one was talking about it or anything.

Then like a year later everyone is going nuts about it. We see it pop-up everywhere.

oxideseven,

Kind of… It’s like infinite automatic save states. At least that’s a good way to explain it, but the streaming thing they mention is more accurate. Nope like those flashback rewinds in racing games.

I was underwhelmed at first and wanted to be snippy cus fuck patenting game mechanics, but it really is a complex and interesting feature they want to develop It should just not be patented.

oxideseven,

ACG is my go to. I don’t think he’s ever steered me wrong.

Obviously watch some reviews he’s done of games you’ve played to see if your tastes align.

oxideseven,

Hahhahaha.

You say it brew jah not bruh jah. I’m gonna say bruh jah from now on tho

oxideseven,

For real. I don’t understand why people keep doing that.

oxideseven,

I wish people would speak less in absolutes, and just focus on sharing their opinions and thoughts as exactly that, their opinions and thoughts.

One of the best can easily be started as one of my favorite. Still a great title, still catches my eye, less exclusionary and less judgy of anyone who doesn’t think it’s the best at all or don’t have a real desire to play it.

This kind of goes for just about every media article out there. Life is more of a bell curve but almost all articles hyper focus on one extreme or the other…

Alleged GTA 6 Videos & Source Code Leaked; Schreier: It's Real (wccftech.com)

Grand Theft Auto 6 has yet to be announced, but last year, we managed to get a glimpse at the sixth main entry in the series by Rockstar Games thanks to some leaked videos. While there's been nothing since, official or otherwise, some dedicated fans have provided something new on the highly anticipated game this week....

oxideseven,

Why are there so many old articles posted on Lenny?

oxideseven,

Publicly traded companies was just the worst damn idea ever… growth for growth’s sake is ruining everything.

oxideseven,

TIL the Nanny is the SAG-AFTRA pres!

Neat.

Where To Find Actually Good Search Engines?

I’m kind of tired of Google sending me to the same 3 sites whenever I search for something. If not the same 3 sites it’s 7 others that are so generic and boring I just feel they’re useless. It’s always makeuseof, androidauthority, or whatever other sites that have useful information but I rarely feel like they are saying...

oxideseven,

You can add search engines to Firefox in the address and search bar.

Go to the site you want to add, click the address bar for the drop down to show, then there will be an icon for that site with a green plus to add it.

If you use the search box it’s even easier. If you’re on the site the icon on the left will have the green plus symbol for it.
