Online through dating app is pretty much the same as through matchmaker. If it is through discussing on a forum, on meeting on social media, it would be something else ok or closer to go the bar. Anyway, we need the matchmaker figure to properly compare things.

It depends of the kind of tee your using. Once I bought the wrong type of turkish tea and next thing I now I’m boiling my tea during month so I don’t drink a slighty darker version of hot water.

pseudo,
@pseudo@jlai.lu avatar

I think the confusion come from the fact that in many languages and cultures the name for tea and plant infusion is the same. Tea is name plant infusion because it is among the go to infusion if no plant is mention. But then in these language the name for “herbal infusion” or “herbal tea” does not contain the name of the specific plant “tee”. This or the languages got it wrong. Yes, I go that far.

@pseudo@jlai.lu avatar

In some countries where tee grows naturally you can found riviers and pond where the water carried tea leaves fell from the tree, which give naturally to the water some aroma.

pseudo,
@pseudo@jlai.lu avatar

I want to drink this!

pseudo,
@pseudo@jlai.lu avatar

Aren’t they closer to stock? You don’t eat the boiled ingredient.

pseudo,
@pseudo@jlai.lu avatar

I was wrong, you eat the tea in macha.

Since I’ve stop using gmail et reduce the need for a gmail account, Google don’t force connexion btw my account and the ones of people I share a computer with. I’m done seeing someone else youtube history bc someone forget to log out of its drive account. By gone the times where my contacts would become mixed up with my friend’s who checked its emails on my phone. My children profil are not considered my secondary accounts. I am not receiving notification of one Google product telling my I haven’t give full permission to another Google profil anymore. I don’t feel like I’ve take time to configurate my account but thé software disant change its behavior.

I’m no longer forced to use a software or a option I don’t want because this other software anable it automatically and that it is almost impossible to turn it off once you’ve start to use it.

I wonder is it something specific to the USA or in other countries people are obseessing over nit having them in the lawn?
I’m in France and every though WE are far from having wild urban meadow or meadow at all, I’ve never heard of people and HOA complaining about dandelion before learning nolawn mouvement on the internet.

pseudo,
@pseudo@jlai.lu avatar

Come discuss at !foragingI’ve eaten dandelion before and I’m still hear to tell the story. I’ve made side dish of the stem. And it taste good. It’s a vegetable without a strong taste.
The leaves are grow and sell as salad even if it is not as common as lettuce. It has much more flavour than to stem.

pseudo,
@pseudo@jlai.lu avatar

I know people who mowed down carefully their lawn and spray them with presticide but they never had a issue with having dandelions, daisies and other common grass flowers, they are usually considered part of the lawn.

pseudo,
@pseudo@jlai.lu avatar

Sure but it will still have bitterness and that’s what there is to like about this type of salad

pseudo,
@pseudo@jlai.lu avatar

I would paint it and craft it to make it looks like an ugly flower!

pseudo,
@pseudo@jlai.lu avatar

I heard about that ! Crazy right !

pseudo,

I believe the first one has committed suicide and if I have follow the story good enough, he was the one saying “If you heard I’ve commit suicide, you will know that I haven’t”.

Controvertial opinion : while beauty is attractive, plenty of people are attracted to the care spend on oneself. That’s why some people like styles other hate and for a short time some suddently love the trendy look they found ugly not long ago.

The thing is when you get out at 4 pm to wait a bit for the first buses. Forget about cars.

I’m the same but not with coffee. I better drink it cold that rewarm. Everyone knows that “café bouillu, café foutu.”

pseudo,
@pseudo@jlai.lu avatar

You have to warm it very slowly. It’s pretty much impossible with a microwave but not with a saucepan.

I might try you chocolate trick one day. What do you mean by chocolate mix? The kind you add in milk to make chocolate milk?

I’m sorry, French here, but a chair can be both. It depends of the type : Une chaise is obviously feminine while un siège or un fauteuil are definitely masculin. Also Germanic language like English and German mixing these two meaning are silly languages.

pseudo,
@pseudo@jlai.lu avatar

Can I keep it after that? I always wanted a pet.

pseudo,
@pseudo@jlai.lu avatar

Was ? L’écriture inclusive ist schwerer in deutsch als in französisch und es ist schwer genug in französisch (T_T)

pseudo,
@pseudo@jlai.lu avatar

TIL In french, we have un amour, single form masculin that turn feminin in the plural form.

pseudo,
@pseudo@jlai.lu avatar

I think we just spotted a cultural fracture btw people of Romance language and the one of Germanic language.

Legitimate interest was a concept invented by Facebook which basic is idea is to say “I’ve got my reasons, so it fine for me not to follow the law”.

I totally forgot how terrible a non-ad-free YouTube experience is

So I’ve been using youtube ad blockers since pretty much when ad blocker extensions were first available. Lately though I’ve been getting hit more and more with these messages that YT was sending out every 5 or so videos telling me that adblockers aren’t allowed. No problem, just gotta wait 5 seconds to x it out and then...

Not long ago, I was watching 5 skipable ads after 10 minutes of video on Viki. It was a time when they were distributing Korean and Chinese Drama at a pace no independent subtitle team would keep up. The shows were culturally interesting, they were a community spirit you could feel even when not participating in subtitling. The video player was good with nice features like learning mode and timestamped comment. It was an acceptable tradeoff. Today’s Viki and YouTube quality is barely sufficient for not favoring pirated website which have in the mean time greatly improved there user experience.

I haven’t find enough asian-drama fans on the fediverse yet. Japan is everywhere but it’s like it Asia only country.
