You do something called raycasting to determine visibility beforehand, and don’t render anything not visible.

Some way of globally capturing hotkeys, for things like starting stream, media hotkeys, etc. Only passing key events to the foreground window is shortsighted, but we need a secure way of doing this.

Twitch shadowbans public VPNs due to abuse/bots. The most common method for people to get around bans is to use a VPN – now assume millions of viewers, and you’ve got an easy recipe for needing to stop that activity.

You’re not punished for being privacy conscious; you’re being punished for being roughly in the same realm as harassers, etc.

If you don’t want to be banned, rent a VPS and set up your own private VPN for only you. The problem is that using Nord, Windscribe, etc etc is that you’re sharing that VPN tunnel with hundreds, maybe thousands of people at a time.

It’s because many privacy enthusiasts are or have also been in network infrastructure, and realize the measures that must be taken on a hostile network which literally defines the internet.

I told you what to do. Rent a VPS, and set your own VPN up. Nothing is stopping you from doing this the right way.

VPS typically have shared IPs. You’re paying extra for a dedicated IPv4.

This is mostly Bluetooth LE so that you can use their new device finder network if your phone gets lost. Thieves often turn off the phone as the first step, so this may help a lot of people recover their devices.

Nah, nobody talks about LLMs. If I approached an average, everyday person about this topic, 99% of them wouldn’t know shit about it, while the tech-nerds all would.

It’s not mainstream at alllll yet. I introduced a pair of people I game with to openai/gpt3.5 like…a week ago and they were absolutely beside themselves using it.

Nah, anti-natalism would be anti-progress. Evolution is a process that should continue to happen. Even Evolution is violence. Violence is necessary for life. It’s a core part of what allowed us to exist in the first place. It’s one of the fundamental forces of life. The problem is seeing violence as inherently bad. Or humans as inherently special.

Once you start viewing humanity the same way you’d view organisms in a Petri Dish, you’ll have gotten it. Higher order functionality is neat and all, but fundamentally not shattering to our basic goals. It doesn’t overwrite our core reason for being: To spread.

When talking about something like Game Theory, one of the most effective strategies follows only a few basic rules:

  1. Cooperate with others.
  2. If wronged, strike back.
  3. Don’t hold a grudge.

So - as you can see - even the most effective, cooperative strategies, employ violence.

I wonder if this would have the same effect in terms of loudness protection for the shooter. The big thing argued with suppressors is that they just want them for hearing protection (guns ARE loud after all) – so I wonder if this would appease some people. Loud guns for the people who want loud guns, and some hearing protection for people who want hearing protection :D (okay okay, I’m being a LITTLE facetious)

Our species are literally the top of the food chain because we’re the most homicidal, genocidal species to ever exist. It is QUITE LITERALLY a one-size-fits-all approach. The weak die to make room for the strong. It happens to be that I’m a part of the strong society and I’m okay with that society striking back at a society that attacked them. It isn’t deep. I’m not claiming that I’m deep, or edgy…it’s all pretty simple. We’re violent. Violence happens. We’re not gonna change it, so why not look on the bright side? The bright side is an intolerant society is being gotten rid of for a more tolerant one.

I’ve done the critical thinking. This is the other side of the equation. I did the math. This is the answer. If I were in a more powerful position in society; say one where I could affect this AT ALL – I would do something different. But I’m not…so why stress myself about it?

Sorry, if anything I’ve come to hold these beliefs more strongly as I get older. I won’t look back at it and cringe, because it’s not cringeworthy. It’s an incredibly sad truth, that I wish were different. Humanity as a whole, sucks. Even the people here pretending they’re better than I am. They’re holding and using devices that rely on child slave labor to be produced, half the things they own are the result of others being taken advantage of. You just see more, and more, and more of it the more you’re alive.

If you actually sat down and think of it – and I have – your posh dipshit little life of “oh save the CHILDREN!!!” is covered in blood. All of it, from the house you live in, to the computer you’re using to chastise me. What are you gonna do about it? You’re gonna get on the internet and whine, and then in a few weeks, you’ll continue using all your shit, and you’ll be here…wasting your time, telling yourself how good a person you are because you “Care®”.

You don’t care any more than I don’t care. You just feed yourself platitudes so you can feel superior and enlightened and drown out any actual thought on the matter truthfully.

Episode 115 was 15 minutes. 15 minutes is not normal episode length. 24 minutes is.

In all of their seasons, only like 6 episodes ever reached that length; and they were usually the season finale. A season-fucking-finale…barely making standard episode length…

Length truly does matter a ton. Every single episode I was left with a feeling of “wait…THAT’S IT?!”. And someone mentioned elsewhere, and something I forgot to account for: We lost Monty Oum. I really wish he had written down somewhere how he wanted the show to progress.

At the very least, I’m gonna get my family out of this hell-hole that is Florida. I’m trying to stay in order to convince as many republicans to split their vote as I can though.

I know a lot of dumb-shit brain washed people that otherwise mean well, but have become oblivious to the hole they’ve found themselves in. So I have a tendency to befriend them and tell them that the only way we’re gonna get any change is if they vote third party. Convincing them to vote Biden is a step too far for most, so I’m just trying to disrupt the cheeto as much as I can locally. And of course my family is voting blue down the whole ticket.

Biden’s only support has always been “I’m not Trump”. Nobody is changing their mind on if they’re voting for Biden because of little “scrap(s) of help”.

His policies aren’t costing him support anywhere, it’s a common whataboutism that Trump supporters spout to try and claim that Biden is slipping, trying to further erode poll numbers.

Yuzu actually even took steps to make the emulator NOT run pirated versions of the new Mario game before it officially released. I ran it on Ryujinx like a week ahead of its release date, but Yuzu literally refused. They insta-banned anyone who talked about it.
