Canonical Announces Availability of Real-Time Kernel for Ubuntu 24.04 LTS - 9to5Linux (9to5linux.com)

To get started with the real-time kernel for Ubuntu 24.04, check out the official documentation. One thing to keep in mind if you’re an NVIDIA GPU user is that the real-time Ubuntu kernel does not support the proprietary NVIDIA graphics drivers.

Majority of Americans wrongly believe US is in recession – and most blame Biden (www.theguardian.com)

Nearly three in five Americans wrongly believe the US is in an economic recession, and the majority blame the Biden administration, according to a Harris poll conducted exclusively for the Guardian. The survey found persistent pessimism about the economy as election day draws closer....

While your comment is dismissive and arrogant, you make a good point (even if it’s not the point you intended).

The metrics we use the show the health of our economy do not reflect the economic circumstances of the average citizen, and that’s a real problem.

My partner and I stopped shopping there for this reason too. The problem is, all companies are this evil. It’s just a question of when they’ll let it show

It was a kids TV show. I’m a millennial, and I saw it in the mornings occasionally, but never had any connection to it, so I’m with y’all

I got to play Terra Nil, and here is my two cents on it (lemmy.world)

This year I was recommended Terra Nil, a “reverse city builder” as the developer Free Lives call it in the store page. From screenshots and what gameplay I did see of it, my mind raced to games like SimCity 3000 and the potential of destroying a run down, or decaying city and returning it to nature....

They do have them. They are just accessed via a modifier key similar to shift. See here: qmk.fm/…/keymap-printout-default-qwerty.pdf

Yeah, they’re infinitely customizable. I have two regular keys where my space bar should be on my keyboard. As a result, I’ve programmed tapping the left one to insert a space, but holding it down acts as CTRL, and tapping the right acts as backspace, while holding down the right acts as shift.

This sounds more like you’re trying to justify buying new hardware, or are really bad at optimizing settings/have completely unrealistic expectations for visual fidelity.

I’ve been trying Dyson Sphere Project again

Were you playing it on Super Nintendo or Sega Genesis?

transientpunk,
@transientpunk@sh.itjust.works avatar

I’m not 100% certain as I only ever had it on SNES, but I’ve heard that the way the frame timings worked on SNES made the jumping in levels like Just Can’t Wait To Be King much harder. YMMV

I think the plan was always to stir up a bunch of shit with a ludicrously overreaching plan, only to walk it back shortly thereafter with a less overreaching plan, thereby softening the blow by being able to point out how much better it is compared to the original proposal.

No, the keyboard is a kit you can get on Mass Drop. The keycaps were novelty caps from Pimp My Keyboard.
