I started an indie platformer called Archaeogem, early impressions are great. Apart from that today I played Post Void, Donkey Kong Country and Super Mario World.
Great little game with a fun, unique mechanic. I’m surprised I’ve never heard anyone talk about it. Its a bit too easy, but it looks like a fun game to speedrun which makes up for that. I’m going to try to get all the collectibles to unlock the bonus leves and the pool minigame....
You can still find weird stuff with indies if you look for it. Hylics II and Post Void are some good examples. (Even though I don’t like Post Void and would only recommend you play it with accessibility mode turned on.)
It seems particularly bad in video games from my admittedly narrow perspective. Declining standards of many mainstream gamers for new releases doesn’t help.
Those are very worrying statistics. I am planning to upgade to a discrete GPU from the 5600G’s iGPU, I hope this doesn’t become a problem in the future.
I almost always hate these remake announcements but this one is fine to me, bringing original RE inline with the rest of the REmakes doesn’t seem like the worst idea.
I wouldn’t even bother torrenting that to be honest, I never understood why it got so much praise. It looks like just another mediocre open world action game.
Honestly, when I first heard the term “boomer shooter” I thought the games were called that because of the amount of explosions they have. Ion Fury in particular is full of them. It a was a while after I realised that by “boomer” they basically mean “old”.
I think “retro shooter” is the much better term, though “classic” also works.
I doubt it, I think there are many great games out there that don’t get noticed because not enough people talk about them. We get a ton of games every year. You can’t rely on word of mouth for your game’s success.
Not suprising, good mobile games usually come from small indie devs (like all good things). When a big IP gets attached to it, it usually doesn’t go well for the hardcore audience.
I just realized that it’s been quite a while since we got a new record analysis. I love all of his content still, but I hope we see more of this in the future.
The demo they released sometime back was really bad, which is what civvie talked about. It remains to be seen if they managed to fix all the problems people had with it since then. Personally I’m going to wait and see, Phantom Fury could be an amazing but that demo severely damaged our hype for it.
By now, everyone in the world knows that American tipping culture is getting out of hand. That doesn’t mean you can’t introduce another way of “supporting” creators. Mike Ybarra, the former president of Blizzard, shared his desire to tip developers of especially enjoyable games....
I think the internet requirement super sucks because those servers go down eventually. It’s likely to be a big problem on launch day as well. The more expensive editions come with an exclusive mission so that probably sets the tone for the season pass too. We will have no wait and see.
