They didn’t react because of Helldivers 2, it’s because of their upcoming PlayStation to PC ports, who will feature enforced PSN linkage and they now noticed, “oh fuck, so many people won’t like it and this will cost us sales”, right now only Helldivers player were angry and boycotting, soon it will be every possible Steam customer, who has to decided pro or against getting a mandatory PSN account, for stuff like Ghost of Tsushima and more.
I don’t see how anyone could be for it. What good does it make to be connected to a psn account? I had to make one the other day because my friend wanted to send me funny stuff he did on ps5 and couldn’t share it outside of the psn. They want more people to make accounts i guess. Even if you don’t own any ps devices.
Or next thing ya know, it turns out the brick has bluetooth too and is required to connect to the phone in order to charge it during normal use, so OP’d have to pair it with the phone as well in order to power the headphones, further reinforcing the locals.
That’s only a useful change if their warranty support was actually helpful to begin with. Now you get two years of them trying to bait people into unnecessary out-of-warranty repairs.
To be fair, Hello Games did reclaim their honour some time ago already. NMS is amazing and they keep releasing new, meaningful updates for free. Their community loves them.
Still a great example on why not to preorder, the game needed years of more work to be in an acceptable state. Why waste your time and money when you could just hold off until the game is actually finished, or at least until you can confirm it’s actually worth the investment based on its quality to you.
Yeah idk why people would pay for a digital product before its release, it’s not like it will suddenly be unavailable after release, and they’ll have spent money on something they can’t own and enjoy yet
We should employ this more often. Studies show that school bullies are more success later in life. So we might wanna take a pro bullying stance for select groups. ;)
I enjoy the cards and badge crafting a lot though. Flash sales were really fun back in the day, but I’m glad not to have to worry about the FOMO anymore.
Yeah I can understand the FOMO but i rarely ever get anything on sale during these big ones anymore because they’re never as substantial since the flash ones were always a significant discount
I really hope this will be a lesson to other developers that signing up for Epic money to be an Epic exclusive means you exclude a huge chunk of the PC market.
I clicked because I thought it’d be a short ad. I’m not watching a 30 minute video of him attempting to debunk claims that he’s a conspiracy theorist. He is a conspiracy theorist.
