Blackmist,

Hasn’t that been an issue with the DLC since like DS2 though?

Blackmist,

Will they serve it though? They weren’t even present at the sentencing due to “poor health”.

Blackmist,

Go for a walk. Maybe meet somebody to walk with.

Blackmist,

Watch in awe as absolutely none of these fuckers go to prison.

Blackmist,

Much of it is owned by the Crown Estate. Which is technically owned by the current monarch, but it’s not their personal property.

All sounds like a scam to me to prevent inheritance taxes scooping off a chunk every time one of them carks it.

Blackmist,

But which will I get when I ask for four candles?

Blackmist,

We’re not starting WWIII over TSMC and nVidia’s stock price.

Shit, most of the world won’t even recognise Taiwan as a country. I can hardly see Haiti, Paraguay and the Vatican coming to the rescue.

Blackmist,

My first impression of Burnout Paradise was similar. I spent an hour or so waiting for it to download an update, only to find the update was an island I couldn’t go to unless I paid them more.

It was all downhill after Burnout 3 anyway.

Blackmist,

Bonus: Also helps avoid detection by sandworms.

Blackmist,

I remember buying C&C Red Alert many years ago, and being completely unable to play it due to CPU speed. Moving the mouse to the edge of the screen would instantly zip to the edges of the game world.

Blackmist,

It ran like shit, and somehow looked worse than Turok on the N64.

They’ve apparently made huge improvements to it since.

eurogamer.net/digitalfoundry-2022-the-new-ark-for…

Blackmist,

Why would they do that when Google and Apple already do all the work for them?

Blackmist,

Much higher floor limit, and no need to enter your PIN every X transactions.

Blackmist,

Still fits in the parameters of natural selection.

Blackmist,

Mezzanine is a fucking banger of an album.

Blackmist,

7 is pretty damn good for that engine. Were you doing a speedrun?

Blackmist,

I remember remarking at the time that they likely didn’t have much more than a terrain object and a title card.

Probably still don’t.

Blackmist,

That’s pretty god. Our fired employee just logged into the wifi from outside and changed the status on every helpdesk ticket to “Paul is a nob”.

Blackmist,

In fairness to him, Paul was indeed a nob. And you don’t really want to do anything that might bring legal action against you, like I dunno, deleting a load of servers and losing your company close to a million. Just as a random example.

And the wifi password is now a long complicated string of characters that only gets given to a few people, rather than just being the company name with 123 at the end.

Blackmist,

that’s-a-penis.gif

Blackmist,

I’ve got like 400.

Think I only paid for Outer Wilds plus the DLC, and Untitled Goose Game out of all those, because everybody should play Outer Wilds.

Blackmist,

Not true at all. Some of them are actively trying to get the worst one in.

Blackmist,

Well anyone not joining is going to be in big trouble.

Blackmist,

I think you’re being too charitable.

Some people will happily elect somebody that will be horrible to people they don’t like. Far more people than is comfortable.

Blackmist,

I know right, we’d been waiting for the UK Tory party to realise that since 2022.

Blackmist,

We’ve had two elections since then.

While I hoped the Tories weren’t popular in 2016, unfortunately for all of us, Boris (and Corbyn proving about as popular as a fart in a spacesuit) kept them relevant.

Blackmist,

I really liked the first reboot, but felt Eternal overcomplicated it and made it like a memory game of working out which gun was best for each enemy, which isn’t really what I wanted from it. Too much finicky precision (like shooting the goddamn turrets off things), and not enough wanton carnage.

It took the story way too seriously as well, and the most enjoyable thing from the first game’s story was somebody starting some exposition, followed by Doomguy smashing the radio.

Just wasn’t feeling it as much as I was with the first. It was only the soundtrack that got me through it tbh, and with Mick Gordon very much not on speaking terms with id Software, I’ll keep my expectations lowered for this.

Blackmist,

I didn’t even like the game, so the chance of this appealing to me is less than zero.

Blackmist,

They should have it so if one player has DLC, everyone gets to use it in multiplayer. It Takes Two works for players that haven’t even bought the game, and that’s published by EA ffs.

2K really are the greediest mfs out there.

Blackmist,

Well Israel are doing their part to alleviate that.

Blackmist,

Or better still, completely flips it to an anti-Trump, pro-science platform, where they take all his talking points and debunk them.

Blackmist,

He should be in jail, although this is probably cheaper.

Blackmist,

“We all know what to do, but we don’t know how to get re-elected once we have done it.” – Jean-Claude Juncker

You’ve got this odd situation where people don’t actually realise how bad this is, because if it was really bad then the governments would actually do something about it, but the governments know that if they do what is needed, a lot of people will be substantially poorer, and then they’ll get voted out and replaced with somebody who brings back all the petrol cars and the toxic shit being dumped into rivers.

We’re completely and utterly fucked.

Blackmist,

All for a CPU and OS that no longer exists. Anybody got a “PC” emulator? What’s a mouse?

Blackmist,

Note to PC gamers: If you have anything with RTX on it, you are not broke.

Blackmist,

Yeah, that’s what the rest of the west want, but Ukraine just want to punch Russia in the face and send them packing. They don’t have the people or morale for a full-on meat grinder war over the next decade.

Blackmist,

So playable frame rate was the main corner cut.

Blackmist,

The yutes have no idea what we used to have to put up with in the 80s. We had TV adverts for new shaped lollipops.

Blackmist,

Or for an innocent verdict. Or just because it’s Monday.

Blackmist,

Poverty is indeed the root cause of many societal issues, but it still boggles the mind that the answer to “income inequality” is “vote for the billionaire”.

Blackmist,

I find it’s best to start with a small starter cock, such as the Little Richard.

Blackmist,

Have you tried spending less on making them?

Blackmist,

“Ugh, you mean we both have to stop firing? No deal.”

Blackmist,

Running things like Days Gone at 60 FPS was a good enough reason for me.
