My city banned Airbnb and VRBO, and actually successfully made it not a thing here. Not sure why Barcelona cannot also. The water usage issue seems easy to fix, or not really the issue at all.

I live in a very, very touristy area. I just accept that I live somewhere other people want to see, and there’s real consequences to that. The consequences are significant. Traffic, crowding, high prices, shitty restaurants, etc. There are benefits though. And not all tourist jobs are bad. Yeah they’re not engineering jobs, but to the people who live off those jobs they are happy they exist. It’s easy for someone who is privileged to say no one wants those jobs.

Sometimes I wonder: Could a president forcefully standup to Israel and live out a term? I seriously feel that between the insane volume of lobbying by AIPAC and the implication of having caused such a rift in the political paradigm that no politician would ever dare be as firm as I’d hope they would.

I find that many of those brands are impossible to avoid. But I’ve always done my casual best. But holy shit it’s crazy how hard it is to avoid certain things google and Amazon completely. They’re services are imbedded into everything. Probably this websites services are paying google or Amazon in some fashion.

I’ve never once seen these girls on my twitch feed. Also, adult channels would obviously be excluded from children’s feed if they’re set up with parental settings.

Also, anyone who has access to the internet has access to porn if they seek it out.

“Think of the children” is such a boring argument. Grumpy old conservatives said the same thing about music videos in the 80s. Now we’ve got incels raging over naked people on the internet.

Have you ever towed anything? Towing a trailer of that size and weight with a car like that, even if legal, is sketchy as fuck. Especially on hills or mountains. Where I am from its legal to take that picture, it’s not legal to get on the road. For good reason. A capable truck is much safer for that purpose, for everyone.

Went to Fox News to find this huge story. Scrolled by 7 non stories to find the headline ‘judge announced ruling on trump case’ with a picture of the judge looking black holding a microphone as if she’s some *political activist,” with no mention that he was found guilty of massive decades long fraud.

If he isn’t pardoned I think he will spend the rest of his life on house arrest or in prison. These charges are serious, there’s undeniable evidence, and there’s about to be multiple venues so he can’t rely on a judge helping him in every case. Without a pardon his best outcome is being in a mar a lago prison until he dies.

But he’s likely to get a pardon before then.

State charges don’t and will never affect presidents while they are in office. Alabama can’t just issue an arrest warrant for Biden. They would if they could. NY and/or GA state will have to wait until after he’s out of office to continue its judicial outcomes, if he wins.

And no senate is going to impeach trump as long as there is a Republican Party.

I really like exploration era sailing games. Trade and explore. Upgrade ships etc. I’ve tried them all and none are that great. But the idea is something I really like. If something like Uncharted Waters combined with Black Flag ever came out I’d be in gaming heaven.
