Jomega,

He also ignored the AIDS epidemic on purpose, leaving thousands to die simply because he didn’t like gay people.

Jomega,

Ten thousand premeditated murders via deliberate inaction is not balanced out by a million visas granted. The severity of the crime gives it more weight. A life extinguished does not equal a life improved somewhat.

Jomega,

Why a shooter? Superheroes aren’t known for using guns, and tend to be bulletproof themselves. Did they just copy the current trend and apply a Marvel coat of paint? That’s stupid.

Jomega,

Sega has a bunch of mandates regarding how Sonic is allowed to behave, so there’s meta reason for his placement. They don’t even let him cry, so coming out of the closet would be enormous.

TBH, I didn’t know what to do with Charmy, since Team Chaotix doesn’t really get that much development. I stuck him in the middle just to be safe.

Jomega, (edited )

I didn’t say that it was a tier list based on how surprised I’d be if they came out as Bisexual, now did I? Strictly gay.

Jomega,

That’s on me. I didn’t make the rules clear.

Jomega,

My original idea was “If Sega decided one of these characters is gay tomorrow, who is it going to be?”. It morphed into the list you see before you. I took into account both actions and how Sega treats them, as well as just general vibes.

Jomega,

I only included characters from the games because if I hadn’t I’d be here all day.

Jomega,

Rotor is canonically gay. I don’t even have to rank him.

Jomega,

Honestly, why do you need graphics to create that level of detail? In regular gameplay, you aren’t getting closeups of your characters face. It’s just a waste of energy on the part of the animators.

Jomega,

I grew up with the N64 and I never needed realistic pores and eyelashes to get immersed in a game. All I needed was a world and characters I liked. I can’t imagine someone picking up a classic and being like “WTF, where’s the individually rendered nostril hair? I can’t get invested in this!” That just feels silly to me.

Jomega,

I could have sworn Atari was bankrupt. Where’d they get the money to acquire anything?

Jomega,

God forbid people have concerns about ethics.

Jomega,

Are we talking about the same thing? I replied to someone taking about OpenAI, not porn in general. The creation of porn without the consent of the people fed into the program is nothing short of an ethical nightmare, even in cases where said people are pornstars. You’re painting me as a repressive for shit I didn’t even say.

Jomega,

Yeah. Oni press published an official licensed Aggretsuko comic way back when.

Jomega,

Well you see the problem is there aren’t any Romans left to scapegoat.

Jomega,

I don’t want a gun inside my anus. That sounds dangerous.

Jomega,

Not a big name outlet, but the Jimquisition awards bar any game with any form of post purchase monetization from entry, and will revoke the award of anything that adds them after the award is given. (This happened with Rocket League in the past.)

Jomega,

I wasn’t aware that I was making a profound vegan statement when I posted this. I just thought that the panel was funny.

Jomega,

I have no idea what is going on in this thread.

Jomega,

Whoa, that actually is kinda deep. I didn’t really think about it so hard. I just saw a panel of Sonic choking the shit out of a rabbit and thought “I’m totally taking this out of context and posting it to 196 the next time I have to obey the rule”. Contextually, it’s not really making a statement about veganism one way or the other, which is why I was confused. Now I see that by removing said context, I have created a sort of Rorschach test. Suddenly the panel is open to interpretation, and it can mean whatever we want. If this thread views it as a statement about vegans, then who am I to argue with them?

Jomega,

Can you stomach edgy grimdark shit? Because it gets brutal once it gets going.

If the answer is yes then absolutely. Peak fiction right here.

Jomega,

It’s mostly the bad guys who do that to my recollection, what with them being trolls and whatnot. Unfortunately, trolls happen to be the largest faction, so there is a lot of it.

Jomega,

He’s sterile. He works with science all day.

Jomega,

Great art was never created for its own sake /s.

Jomega,

Things are often better when the people making them give a shit.

Jomega,

More like it’s still canon, but heavily retconned. FRLG removed some of the early weirdness and made it more consistent with the others, and Let’s Go removed what little they missed with the first set of Kanto remakes. Both versions of Johto are direct sequels to Kanto, everyone important in the region shows up to the world tournament in B2W2, and Red and Green/Blue appear as adults in Sun/Moon’s post game. It’s just the references to real world countries and animals and stuff that they sweep under the rug and say “You didn’t see that. That didn’t happen.”

Jomega,

Only now? She’s already said that the only thing Hitler did wrong was expand outside Germany. They not only kept her after that but defended her, accusing critics of taking her words out of context. (The context does not actually help her in the slightest) Why is her doing the exact same thing she always does suddenly a problem?

Jomega,

We’ve existed since the 80’s. The only thing recent about us is the population boom the internet gave us.

Jomega,

Something being normalized doesn’t automatically make it morally okay.

Jomega,

Doesn’t it, though?

It used to normal to beat your kids. It was wrong then and it’s wrong now.

This is what the players wanted, and the industry listened.

The reason we are having this conversation in the first place is because people didn’t want it.

This isn’t forced upon anybody.

They added it the game post-launch, after reviews had already come out. Anyone morally opposed to micro transactions (which as I’ll get to in next point, have a very good reason to be opposed to on principle) who had bought the game has been tricked into supporting a business practice they despise. This is incredibly scummy and should rightfully be seen as a dick move.

It only becomes a moral problem if somebody’s choices are circumvented, but that’s not really what’s happening here.

Micro transactions as a concept are strategically designed to exploit people with addictive personalities. This is not a theory on my part, this is legitimately what the intent behind them is. But don’t take my word for it, here’s a video discussing that very thing.

Jomega,

I think I forgot a word. That’s what I get for posting after taking my sleepy pills.

Jomega,

Nothing straighter than two guys playing twister by themselves right?

Jomega,

Find your flame from the Sonic Frontiers ost.

Jomega,

The costume by itself isn’t necessarily sexual. It’s like cosplay.

Jomega,

Medical devices aren’t supposed to kill their users, which is what happened in the animal testing phase. It didn’t even have a single successful case of doing what it’s supposed to.

Jomega,

Seraphim are only one type of angel. The Cherubim are perfectly fuckable if you’re into the whole four heads thing.

This screenshot is from Sonic Battle, a game where 80% of the plot is Sonic and friends being bad parents to their new robot buddy. (it’s better than it sounds) In this scene, Cream was kidnapped by Eggman and Emerl (the robot) saves her. Since Cream dislikes fighting, she is upset that he had to blow up some other robots to rescue her. Emerl apologizes despite not understanding what he did wrong, citing the above quote, which is apparently advice Sonic gave him at some point.

The disease comic is definitely fan made, since Cream is very much still alive and >!Emerl has to be put down to save humanity!<.
