It’s not that simple. If it was the American military wouldn’t be effective because manpads, javelins, and torpedos would have taken out all the aircraft, tanks and ships.
The military is a fighting unit and protects itself very well. At least, it does it it’s working right. When you have a military being destroyed by a vault interior opponent, it’s because they are fucking to their military…or someone is trying to occupy Afghanistan.
Even having an anthem, being bullied into putting your hand over your heart, making children onesie allegiance, is all indoctrination to nationalism. It’s horrible.
People have been trending away from random online interactions for decades. With good reason. As populations increased the ability to police behavior plummeted. Negative interactions skyrocketed and now few people want to chance abuse with it being so common.
It’s also partly what you said: people want to get stuff done. I remember EverQuest 1 and Nexus. You couldn’t do shit solo. People generally want to be able to actually play the game and accomplish something and they don’t always have 30-60 min to look for a group before they can start playing.
It’s a very different market these days and people have a lot of things they can do with their time. Playing chat roulette to play a game doesn’t cut it.
There’s 6 Republicans on SCOTUS. 2 of them are hard-line “originalists” that usually rule as far right as possible against human rights. 1 is the fucking Boofer who hasn’t been as awful as expected (he’s young so saving up his shittery I guess?). And one is so fucking incompetent she bragged she took no notes during her questioning.
I’m surprised every decision isn’t a 6-3 vote against humanity.

That’s a great idea. Analyze the feces or garbage and then publish public reports about the deficiencies of NK life. That’d embarrass Kim enough they’d probably stop.
Yeah. Because there’s no good answer. Anything you do will be massively unpopular. Trying to get people to stop eating beef or dairy is going to be very difficult.
Once lab grown meat is affordable maybe it’ll help.
Yeah, I saw that as well. It’s very neat and I hope that 50% reduction is seen in all cattle breeds with just a small supplement of seaweed. If it’s effective without strong side effects, I imagine we’ll synthesize whatever chemical is inhibiting the methane production and it’ll become a standard feed supplement.
“This could help farmers sustainably produce the beef and dairy products we need to feed the world,” Roque added.
Absolutely not the case for beef cattle. They are far too expensive to raise and feed to be a hunger concern. They take so much land and food compared to how many calories you get from the beef. Pretty much every other animal is easier to raise and feed. There’s a reason pretty much no culture or religion bans consumption of goats or sheep; they are critical. Beef is a luxury food.
I have stopped buying games that aren’t on 90% off sales, and even then mostly stopped. I only buy a game that I want to play immediately. I have way too much to do and play and it’s not worth building a backlog since I’ll just forget it anyways.
Long gone are the days of super sales where 75-95% off were common.
Edit: clarification: I buy very cheap games for my backlog and buy games full price as long as I want to play them right now.
I know jack shit about photo editing, but did this person just de-saturate the colors? The eyes and hair look like they are less vivid. Even the background looks different., less dark and more blue?
There’s a bunch of black bears in NW Florida. During the hell years I lived there 911 would get calls about them in yards and the advice was to leave them alone unless they are hurting someone. Animal control wouldn’t come out if there wasn’t a threat. They were usually just meandering between forest patches. And it was illegal to shoot them in most circumstances; especially since most of this was in subdivisions.
This would effectively allow cowboys to start blasting in your neighborhoods. Probably leaving rotting corpses of young black bears on the corner or in the streets.
I beat the first major boss: Dancing Lion from trailers. I’m not good at these games. Took me a dozen+ tries. I used the NPC summon because they tend to have story elements.
NPC doesn’t do much damage and dies quickly in phase 2. It helps but not that much.
So far it’s not that hard. Biggest hurdle is even with +24 weapons I cannot do sufficient damage to the wickermen or new dragons. I assume it’s the leveling items?
forcing hospitals to demand payment up front, raise prices even further, etc.
Which means for scheduling care they’ll have to either explain all the charges or they won’t get business. But for emergency care they are still fucked. They can’t deny emergency care regardless of payment ability.
Do insurances only pay a set % of charged? Because in that case hospitals would just charge whatever arbitrary amount they wanted.
I think insurances set hard limits on paying individual types of tasks and procedures. Hospitals and doctors bill whatever they want, insurance pays X that’s allowed, tells the insured what they owe, and the rest is written off by the doctor because no one is obligated to pay it.
