delitomatoes,

Playing it now, great game, but not indie apparently

delitomatoes,

Re4 had quite good audio design, the shots sounded incredible

delitomatoes,

This is one of the most pointless games to remake, just play the original

delitomatoes,

Interesting, I guess the market for games as service or big games is not so profitable now, it would be like if Disney funded a small movie.

delitomatoes,

What did you like about the show? Was there anything you disliked?

delitomatoes,

Unfortunately my mobo only supports up to 3000 series, so I’m switching to AM5 next year

delitomatoes,

All running on SSD, but I aim to run at 1440p and more than 60fps. RE4 looked better than most games and had buttery smooth performance, really important for the ‘speedrun’ type trophies

delitomatoes,

Asrock Fatality B350, not officially listed on the manual and forums say that is technically possible but risky

delitomatoes,

Lies of P, can’t believe this is the first action game from a indie studio

delitomatoes,

In terms of value per frame, AMD last gen is currently better

delitomatoes,

They already play at least 2 tournaments a year, now they want more?!

delitomatoes,

Just completed Cocoon, short game, excellent 9/10. Puzzles aren’t too hard but mind bending. It doesn’t get quite as tedious compared to other puzzle games once you solved it in your head and they break it down to smaller chunks.

Only had 1 difficult puzzle in the entire run near the end, because of a long section between revisiting a certain area.

delitomatoes,

Re4 remake scratches some of the metal gear itch

delitomatoes,

Yakuza Gaiden, the ending is a gut punch and leads hopefully to a good ending for Kiryus story. A love letter and greatest hits of the Yakuza series.

You could skip through the side quests as they are mostly a repeat of earlier games.

delitomatoes,

In the documentary, they actually expand on that, they delayed the core game until the story and levels worked out and specially left Xen to the last as if they were not having fun before, they would have given up

delitomatoes,

And the early access people hated the plot too.

delitomatoes,

Dredge was good but not goty in any year. If a small game got goty, I would put Obra Dinn on the list

Starfield group fixing Bethesda's bugs say their job is tough as mods feel an afterthought (www.eurogamer.net)

“What’s more frustrating for those working on SCP, and the wider Starfield modding community, is how difficult it is to work with Starfield’s code without official modding tools and support. This isn’t helped by the delayed mod tools from Bethesda, which the company says are coming at some point next year.”

delitomatoes,

A NASA shuttle is still a space ship in the hangar

delitomatoes,

Will it have a dating Sim aspect where Bond where one of the objectives is to get all the Bond girls?

delitomatoes,

Death Stranding might be the exact opposite of Starfield in design philosophy

delitomatoes,

The unrevealed plot twist shows that Sutherland wasn’t even voicing any version of Snake

delitomatoes,

Still no idea if this game looks better than RE4 remake which runs on a potato

delitomatoes,

I just played Morrowind for the first time. If you talk to someone not facing you, they will not rotate to look at you. This feature is still in Starfield

delitomatoes,

R&D as an analogy, if the game does something new, creates a new experience then it’s worth extra because you can’t get it anywhere else until poor copies appear in a few years

Replayability and Flow. Length doesn’t matter look at AC games. But I could re run RE games or Respec new build in Elden Ring and feel the rush of making decisions on the fly and anticipating the dodge when an enemy could almost touch me

Beauty, same as movies I guess when you get to experience people’s creativity, not in overproduced generic stuff like Amazon or Apple TV shows or Asscreed, but when there is a good art direction. Good design beats out fidelity any time

delitomatoes,

Is this the Censored game that Yahtzee was reviewing

delitomatoes,

If you wonder why public companies with billions in revenue can’t make a Steam competitor is because they can’t think long term, being a private company allows Valve to just work on what they want and grow If they need to

delitomatoes,

Games are rated on a 7-10 scale though where 7 is mediocre and 8 is passable.

9 is good and 10 is great.

So between not completely unplayable and good enough is their score

delitomatoes,

I could have seen it as a Stardew valley-esque Hobbit farming Sim, you start with simple farming, interacting with lore accurate villagers, fishing, cave gathering as Smeagol.

Then after a certain point of the game in a quest you find the Ring and your memories start getting hazy and your farming skill starts deteriorating and your cave gathering skills improve and the Ring blanks out part of your days and suddenly you find Deagols body and get flashbacks to what happened.

In the epilogue you start your usual day in the cave ‘bed’ instead of your Hobbit hole bed and you go gathering and meet Bilbo. Then cut to black

delitomatoes,

Replaying RE2 remake while waiting for Re4r DLC. Surprised to find a new mode there that I don’t have any memory of, it was added later I guess. Problem with being a patient gamer is that mod support stops and the game is updated and breaks it.

delitomatoes,

Tried the demo for System Shock remastered and finally started Jet Set Radio with the release of the spiritual successor. They did not age well for me, but I could see why they were popular back in the day

delitomatoes,

Don’t know when you were 13, but there was this great run from 7 to 10. Then 12-15 kinda flopped and for some reason 11 and 14 were MMOs. So there was a whole era where it was nothing to get excited about.

7 remake was hype though.

delitomatoes,

Had a really good run, probably the best since I was a kid. Elden Ring into Hifi rush into RE4 remake, Tears of the Kingdom and the Rift Apart.

Probably never gonna match this again for the next decade, but not sure what to play next
