Harvard Scholars Suggest Pollsters Ask Questions to AI Simulations of Voters Because Real People Won't Answer The Phone (futurism.com)

Instead of asking humans who they would vote for, try to understand the nuances of their thoughts and concerns, let those messages bubble up to candidates so they can adjust their campaign to meet voters' demand, instead of that, why not just segment humans into a bunch of shallow stereotypes (the socialist Millennial, the...

*Can we get a requirement of logs to be posted somewhere for technical advice?

just_another_person,

What an absolute moron. It’s like VMs never existed in this guy’s mind.

If you legitimately hate Windows that much, and you’re running a YouTube channel called ‘Tek Syndicate’…figure it out, fool.

just_another_person,

I watched it. This guy is either technically challenged, or a complete moron.

just_another_person,

Try me.

If you kill all those babies, then who is he going to abuse?

You’re literally taking his babies away.

You can’t molest a child that was never born.

This guy never met a kid he didn’t “like-like”.

Colorado Republican Brutally Grilled By Local News Anchor: ‘Why Is Abortion Good For Your Girlfriend? Bad For Other Women?’ (www.mediaite.com)

Colorado congressional candidate and sitting State Rep. Richard Holtorf ® received a tough grilling this week at the hands of local 9News anchor Kyle Clark over his apparent hypocrisy when it comes to abortion rights....

Rules for thee, but not for mee.

Ignore the man behind the curtain.

just_another_person,

I’m just convinced all of y’all asking about this are in a huge circle jerk that never ends, but refuses to understand how it all works.

A model is a model. It’s a simplified way of narrowing down thresholds of confidences. It’s a pretty basic sorting algorithm that runs super fast on accelerated hardware.

You people seem to think it’s like fucking magic that steals your soul.

Don’t send information over the wire, and you’re golden. Learn how it works, and stop asking dumb questions like this is all brand new, PLEASE.

just_another_person,

Read the last part of my comment again. Seems I very clearly grasp the concern.

Not even close

Riiiight. I guess with a username like yours, everyone is the enemy of whatever you think is right and just 😂

just_another_person,

I think OP is talking about Mint’s Desktop Environment only.

If Mint works out of the box, pretty much any modern distro will. It’s about the kernel, not about an individual distro anymore. There’s nothing much special about individual distros except UI, and package management, of which Mint shares the latter with any Debian-based distro.

just_another_person,

As long as it’s not a mounted and running live system, it should work. Not the most efficient way to do such a thing, but I would think it should work.

just_another_person,

Terrible timeline: JD Vance is less worse than the other Nazi fucks being asked to submit a profile.

just_another_person,

God damn. The happy look on that kids face makes me want to fund them a trip for a visit to an LGBTQ-friendly community for a week. Who in the fuck is so happy about hating something?

just_another_person,

This guy just exudes “Fuck Everyone, nobody likes me anyway” vibes.

just_another_person,

Sounds like buying votes to me. Thankfully, the vast majority of the country is pretty poor.

just_another_person,

Don’t understand the snarky title. This is a good thing. Waiting for AMD to kick out that mobile ARM chip anytime now. We’re waiting.

just_another_person,

ARM is not capable of surpassing the existing world of x86 in raw power. It’s not about that. People do want an 8 hour battery life out of their laptops though.

just_another_person,

VNC is a bit dated, doesn’t support auth as part of the protocol, and doesn’t functionally support a lot things like dynamic screen resizing, and things like stream transport of audio.

Not saying RDP is necessarily better, but it is functionally faster at least, and implementations here are open source, not the closed MS version.

just_another_person, (edited )

It’s really just a codec issue at that point though. They COULD revamp, but why when you can just improve and make a new protocol.

just_another_person,

Pick one. It’s debian-based. You literally can’t pick “the wrong one”. You just have uninstall what you don’t like, and install what you want. That simple.

just_another_person,

Yes. Exactly this. Russian interests trying to expand beyond their borders because they think they deserve it. Same as all the Axis Power countries. They think they “deserve” it.

Fuck this mentality.

just_another_person,

This is fucking dark…but very possible. Everyone needs to fucking vote against this prick and his cronies. He won’t live another cycle anyway.

just_another_person,

The PSX design was still similar for the Nintendo Prototypes as well. Was just the design style at the time for cheaper optical drive housing. GameCube all also had a flip-top lid for the basic commercial release.

just_another_person, (edited )

This is a far cry from big news, considering they’ve got so much trouble even keeping the kernel stable enough to run for long periods of time if not on a very specific spec of hardware.

I’ll get excited to try it when they start refactoring , get a non-insane structure in place, and get a bigger list of supported hardware into the kernel. I’m still confused on why they’re working on a server version already without the above anyway. Cart before the horse.

just_another_person,

Get a non-creepy wallpaper you wouldn’t be embarrassed to show co-workers.

just_another_person,

Hard disagree. I wouldn’t consider an image depicting a fetish of some sort “family friendly”.

Same rules for being in public: you shouldn’t think it’s okay to subject non-willing participants into your sexual proclivities. A jizzed up sexualization, anime or not, is not cool to subject others to without their permission.

just_another_person,

What do you imagine all those thick globs of white represent?

just_another_person,

The Russian front money being laundered through Trush Social is suddenly going to pick up, and then they’ll have money to buy this. Fucking shell game.

just_another_person,

Glad they are in the minority. This is obviously why Musk thought he could turn his creepy followers around to his way thinking by buying and ruining Twitter.

just_another_person,

Honestly, if your running install is too far gone and you can’t delete some files, just go and boot a LiveCD, get your disks mounted, clean some files, then restart. You’ll be totally fine.

just_another_person,

That’s a bit extreme. Just deleting files in a Live environment is super simple, and saves a big headache.

just_another_person,

Your disks should already be mounted, if not encrypted. If they aren’t, just go to whatever disk or partition manager you like, find the volumes, mount them, and go about finding large files you don’t need and delete them. Clear up a couple GB, then reboot your system as normal, and go about doing more cleanup until you’re happy. Super quick and easy.
