kmartburrito,

So now on top of fake news we have fake speech, lol

kmartburrito,

Do the crime, do the time. You’ll never see a conservative admit to this when it applies to Cheeto Jesus

kmartburrito,

Hold on, they’re not that outraged, let’s not get crazy here. After all, every single one of them flip flops every single day. How else can they be okay with being followers of Christ that support a racist rapist felon?

kmartburrito,

Narcissistic people don’t say sorry because they can’t accept personal responsibility for anything

kmartburrito,

I saw somewhere he was going to try and focus his appeal on Stormy’s testimony. I think Judge Merchan was really smart to object on the Defense’s behalf and ask them why they weren’t objecting and if they were planning on objecting to her testimony.

By doing that (choosing to not object), they kinda forfeited their ability to appeal on that part.

I really hope Judge Merchan goes hard on the sentencing due to trumps public actions afterwards.

I sure the hell wouldn’t want to put my foot in my mouth like that while sentencing loomed over my head, but I’m also someone that has never been convicted of a crime, and don’t have rabid supporters hanging on my every word and giving me millions of dollars in donations.

kmartburrito,

It was really weird, they objected so much for like every piece of evidence entered, but when her testimony veered they were completely silent. I wonder if the judge saw it for what it was and called it out.

Here’s an article on it

kmartburrito, (edited )

Not sure why you’re being down voted so hard, sadly you’re actually correct. But we can call him “felon elect” in the meantime until he’s sentenced on July 11.

I hope Judge Merchan goes heavy on the sentence due to all the shit he’s been spewing since the conclusion of the trial.

EDIT Look at my reply below before you shamelessly downvote me. I’m not wrong, and fuck donald trump, I hate that motherfucker

kmartburrito,

Let me start by saying I loathe Trump likely way more than you do. Look at my comment history.

Second, actually, YOU are wrong. Trump is not a felon yet. The Judgment has not been entered yet. The Judgment, which is what essentially under the law means a person has a felony conviction on their record, that happens at the time of entry of Judgment which follows the sentencing. So although colloquially we are referring to him as a convicted felon, and it’s true that he’s been convicted by a jury of 34 felony counts, that judgment doesn’t get entered until after the sentence is applied, which will be on July 11th.

You can disagree with me, but this came from Jessica Roth, a former federal prosecutor, and she covered this on the 538 politics podcast that aired on May 30th. She talks about this at around the 12 minute mark.

I’m betting she knows much more about the law than you or me. So maybe you should back off a bit?

So if you don’t agree with me still, why don’t you put forth evidence to support your claim like I just did?

Fuck donald trump though.

kmartburrito,

He’ll make sure he never leaves and picks his successor. It will literally be game over

kmartburrito,

Plus he’s likely to have a probation officer either way that he will regularly have to check in with. Hopefully he has to take drug tests too

kmartburrito,

He should also use his actions after the jury conviction against him as well. I would love him to land on the harsher side of sentencing.

kmartburrito,

Seems like you like trump and are here to create division. And it looks like you’re not an American by your comment “That’s cute, Americans talking about privilege while their military industrial complex wages forever wars and their financial imperialism squeezes the entire world.”

So I’m going to tag your username with something terrible I’m not going to quote here and block your posts so I don’t have to see your divisive bullshit on here anymore.

Reading through the comments it’s clear that you’re the one bad at this.

Republicans Flock to Trump’s Trial, Risking Control of the House Floor (www.nytimes.com)

"The House was in session at the Capitol on Thursday, but thanks to the latest procession of Republicans reporting for duty in front of a Manhattan criminal courthouse to show support for former President Donald J. Trump at his trial, the party risked ceding its control of the floor,” the New York Times reports....

kmartburrito,

I thought that this is why they put the FART team in place, to guard the floor. Clearly they’ve weakened the FART, but as we all know, you should never trust a weak FART.

kmartburrito,

Blocked you, glad I don’t have to see anymore of your bullshit submissions

kmartburrito,

There are stupid people of every size shape, color, gender, and ethnicity.

kmartburrito,

Maybe he needs to revive with vivarin. Would be nice if he didn’t wake up one of these times

kmartburrito,

$1000 is the maximum contempt of court fine per offense allowed in the state of New York. While this is definitely chump change for trump know that the judge can’t charge him more. At least he’s threatening incarceration.

kmartburrito,

I’m not a fan of SCOTUS, especially right now, but it’s a little too early to be getting out the pitchforks and torches. Let’s see what they come back with first.

There is very little likelihood that they agree with Trump’s proposal for complete immunity - it’s much more likely that they try to draw the line between official and private acts, and then remand the duty of determining what buckets his acts fell into down to the lower courts.

His lawyer even admitted as Amy Coney Barrett read off his indicted acts and asked the lawyer to respond with private or official, for nearly all of them he answered private. That is a big deal.

What Trump REALLY wanted here was a delay on the proceedings until after the election, and they likely handed him that. His game plan is sickeningly obvious - run out the clock, win the presidency, quash all court cases. Continue performing and crossing things off the corrupt actions list.

He will also figure out some way to get rid of Georgia case, although it shouldn’t be that way.

kmartburrito,

I’m in my early 40s, and my experience is a polar opposite of yours. I worked for a company straight out of college that, like your experience, didn’t value me or really want to train me.

After 5 years, I moved to a nonprofit and just celebrated my 14 year anniversary there. They have bankrolled several professional certifications and have a genuine interest in developing my career. I have moved into a leadership position, and while I have always been challenged in my growth process, and don’t make near as much as I could at a for-profit company, my salary and work life balance is fantastic.

What industry are you in? Cybersecurity for me. Maybe a different employer might make a difference for you? I’m not sure what your details are, but there are jobs like mine out there.

I couldn’t imagine starting at ground zero today, however. I can appreciate just how hard today’s youth have it, which likely will be similar for my young boys as they reach working age.

kmartburrito,

See my comment above, 42 also, class of 2000 also, and I guess I’m one of the few that got lucky in landing a position in a great company. Just turned over 14 years there. We’re Xennials btw

kmartburrito,

Yes, they are almost always hiring, I will DM you

kmartburrito,

I’m not ready to crush their spirit yet with the cold truth, as they’re both under 10. However, I’m certainly not going to go the “well just pull yourselves up by your bootstraps” approach that my Boomer parents generation took towards younger generations.

I’m also not going to do this reply any justice typing on my phone, but the destruction you speak of (and I don’t disagree that it’s happening) has been occurring for decades, it’s not a recent development, although it has definitely sped up during my lifetime.

I don’t disagree with your thought that there’s a ravine. It’s going to be my generation and younger ones that have to pull us out of it (in the sense of taking responsibility and shepherding our children forward), which is not going to be easy.

kmartburrito,

Well now he’s dead to me. I thought he was a logical thinking human being. What an absolute moron. Not voting for Biden is a vote for the bad guys and fascism/monarchy

kmartburrito,

The problem with your reply is that you’re focusing on a single tree and missing the entire forest around it.

If you just take the words only at face value, then yes, I suppose you’re right. However, apathy ABSOLUTELY loses people elections, which is what the spirit of my statement for all intents and purposes actually says. That’s why we got suck with Trump in the first place - people were lukewarm on Hilary and mad that Bernie wasn’t the candidate. They decided NOT to vote, and the crazy kook republicans always vote, so we got stuck with trump.

My comment stands and is accurate.

kmartburrito,

Good voters don’t get apathetic, they understand what’s truly at stake because they see the forest, not just a single tree.

It’s our duty to vote, even if we have to vote for the lesser of two evils.

kmartburrito,

isn’t a democracy worth saving

I hope you will take a bit of time to really think through this part of your comment. If you truly think this, then I have nothing more to discuss with you. This is part of the larger problem.

We’re forced due to our shitty first-past-the-post voting system to vote one of two ways, vote against the worst guy in your opinion, or abstain from voting and not contribute at all.

We’re voting between

  1. an extremely old guy who hasn’t been everyone’s favorite in many areas, but arguably has done a LOT of good things in his time as President - and
  2. an extremely old guy who is a rapist, racketeering liar and a con man who only cares about self preservation, and fleecing you for every buck you’re worth to bankroll his court costs for running up (so far) nearly 100 state and federal felonies. He also is fiercely delaying his trials so he can corruptly make it go away so that Justice isn’t carried out, because he should be King and completely above the law. Not to mention his party ACTUALLY cheats at election through intimidation, voter suppression, gerrymandering, and misinformation campaigns.

How could someone even think that’s not a no-brainer decision? I’m not forcing anyone to do anything, what I’m saying is that I believe people that aren’t making the obvious right choice here are part of the problem. Bad guys standing next to bad guys, ignorant/brainless/brainwashed Republicans and abstinent voters. Might as well be the same person if you’re not helping to remedy this clear issue with your vote.

Just my opinion, but I know it’s shared with many that clearly align with doing the right thing this November.

I’m challenging the collective “you” to do the right thing, regardless of your political affiliation. The game has two participants and only one can be the winner. Don’t inject extra complexity here. Do the right thing. That’s it. Should be a super easy choice.

kmartburrito,

That’s the frustrating thing, it’s so blatantly obvious and out in the open. You’d never know it watching literally any conservative news source.

I’m all for free speech, but wish we had ways to label things as BS because a lot of ignorant people don’t know any better or care to know any better. So disappointing.

kmartburrito,

You know what matters more than both presidential and local elections?

Justice and accountability

kmartburrito,

How long until we see Russia abducting troops from Niger for their war in Ukraine? They’re doing it with the Cubans as well.

kmartburrito,

I don’t disagree with you at all, I’m just reminded of the old adage “The grass is always greener on the other side”

kmartburrito,

Wow that’s super cool, it doesn’t look like wood. I’ve never even heard of wood PLA. Thanks for sharing! TIL

kmartburrito,

It’s really easy to have people join your game, or for you to join others. Also, it’s not terrible playing solo either. I’m really enjoying it both ways. Feel free to add me on steam (same name) if you’re on PC, or if on PS5 DM me and I can send you a friend invite if you want to team up and spread some democracy.

kmartburrito,

Or that a trump backed company paid Smirnov, the lying FBI informant and central to the entire impeachment effort to smear the Bidens, $600,000 right before he started lying about what he knew.

kmartburrito,

Plus had they disqualified the case, it would have removed it from her ENTIRE office to be able to take it over and continue. Had she just stepped back, one of her deputies could have taken it over and run with it. This was a risky move, and due to it being the only one Trump can’t quash federally, really scary to have dug her heels in like she did. She’s lucky it didn’t go another way.

Mike Johnson 'blindsided' by abrupt departure that could end Lauren Boebert's career (www.rawstory.com)

Boebert had switched districts after Buck announced his impending retirement to avoid a stiff challenge from Democrat Adam Frisch in the 3rd district, but Buck’s immediate departure will set up a special election in which the state Republican and Democratic parties will choose a nominee – and there’s no guarantee they’ll...

kmartburrito,

Since she’s moving to the 4th district, can she just move back to the 3rd district? I don’t understand how that works. Hopefully she can’t just shop around.

For example, if she resigns from 3rd district to run in 4th, can she go back?

Donald Trump may be "beholden" to people behind bond: Legal analyst (www.newsweek.com)

After Donald Trump posted a bond of nearly $92 million on Friday as he appealed the jury’s verdict in E. Jean Carroll’s civil defamation case, legal analyst Andrew Weissmann warned on Sunday that the former president may be “beholden” to people behind the bond....

kmartburrito,

Awww, too bad…Guess he spent all his money on adult diapers and wedges to put under the front of his shoes so his fat ass doesn’t fall on his loser fake ass spray tan face.

Get fucked, you piece of shit garbage human being.
