I am a 51 year old bisexual man. It is difficult to properly put into perspective the progress that has been achieved. Listing major accomplishments like gay marriage doesn’t really capture the difference. Even non-queer people that cared for you saw you as different. I have been married for more than half my life and I can honestly say that back then my wife was with me in spite of my sexuality, but it was always something she worried about. It was like that with all who knew I was bi, and full closet for the rest. Now it feels as controversial or impactful as stating your favorite colour.
So, if hateful people ever make you feel that things are worse today and that you don’t belong, just remember that no so long ago, even your loved ones could make you feel like you didn’t belong, even if they didn’t mean to.
PS: Don’t even get me started on getting hate from gay friends for being bi.

People do not always work out as romantic partners, but you still really like that person. It can sometimes take a while to stop confusing intimate friendship with romantic feelings. Often times, once you do realize that the person is extremely important to you as a friend, you don’t try to dip back into the romance well because you do jot want to jeopardize the valuable friendship. In other words, as time goes being good friends with an ex or with someone you have had sex with becomes more and more common.
Something else to keep in mind is that you cannot stop someone from being unfaithful if they want to be. All you can do is be kind and faithful to yourself and those you care about, and hope to receive the same in return. Be with your BF. Be with his friend. Maybe you might like her and end up with a lifelong friendship. The only way to find out is to open yourself to others rather than push away because they might betray and hurt you. Control what you can and don’t sweat what you can’t.
One of my gay friends is a Wyoming cowboy so stereotypical he might as well be an extra in the Yellowstone TV show. He brews beer, hunts, etc. The “gayest” thing he does is competitive line dancing which, if we’re being honest, is not “gay” as much as it is dorky as hell.

What I did notice was vastly increased stamina and much better temperature regulation (not bothered by cold in Wyoming of heat in Florida). This is purely anecdotal, do with it as you wish.
You wouldn’t pirate a ~30 year old game that was never sold in your country and never translated to your language for a no longer made console but that was carefully ported to the PC and lovingly translated to multiple languages, including your own, by a dedicated group of enthusiasts that genuinely love the game and only want others to have a chance to enjoy it as well.
