Looks a bit like Kenshi but without the weird. 😃

BarbecueCowboy,

More importantly, Kenshi with a color palette.

Zahille7,

Hey, I love the weird world of Kenshi!

I’m not really a Beep simp though.

BlueMagma,

This looks awesome, I’m eager to play it.

shani66,

Well I’m sold

Etterra,

Does this new game look like it was written in 1974 too? I’m surprised the jerkasses actually agreed to update DF with 1980s graphics.

Duke_Nukem_1990,

show us the games you made

DragonTypeWyvern,

You don’t need to be an artist to be a critic, but you should be something besides cultureless swine like the OP.

prole,

Really bad take. Take it down a notch.

And this is coming from someone who didn’t play the game until it was released on Steam due to the inaccessibility.

Graphics aren’t everything. DF is, by far, the deepest simulation game ever created. The complexity is unmatched. You should put some respect on their name.

Everyone knows the DF creators always said they’d add graphics when the game was closer to release.

marreniakaza,

cautiously optimistic that this game is good enough to waste hours on

kakes,

Probably worth putting Tarn’s name in the title tbh. (Directed at PCGamer, not OP)

Iunnrais,

From the title, I suspected it was Zach actually, because I know fewer people know that name and would be more likely to need the “dwarf fortress co-creator” label. Tarn definitely should have been named.

I mean, it’s in the subtitle. “Dwarf Fortress” is definitely gonna have more name recognition than the developer himself.
