ChicoSuave,

Khan’s first officer even tells him that exact plan and Khan doubles down on murder.

ChicoSuave,

My head canon for what happened to Ceti Alpha and Khan is Kirk submitted his captain’s log and Star Fleet classified it out of fear of an unfinished rivalry built up around the conclusion of the Eugenics Wars. The Reliant had no ability to access that information and only had the same stale info on Ceti Alpha that Kirk had a decade prior.

The real villain is the Federation for funding what could easily be a weapon AND hiding details of an exiled war criminal. There are so many skeletons in the Federation closet that with enough radiation it would be a Halloween episode if Section 31 ever became a show.

ChicoSuave,

What balance issues are there? I want to play with some friends but they have a habit of metagaming and killing the joy.

ChicoSuave,

These are harmless chemical made by a corporation that wants you to never stop buying the chips that help make the flavor whatever you want, not those harmful chemicals that control your mind like a vaccine.

ChicoSuave,

Man, this better not awaken anything in me.

ChicoSuave,

That’s an obscene amount of water. Dont those scientists know there is a drought on!

ChicoSuave,

This guy hasn’t seen the director’s cut!

ChicoSuave,

Oh my god, you’ve figured out how spies can avoid prosecution in countries they spy in: don’t be a citizen! Now when they get arrested they can say that they aren’t citizens and so jurisdiction falls to a different country! Police hate this one trick.

ChicoSuave,

Premium currency is freely available on missions and it’s not hard to accrue enough to make frequent buys in the money store without spending a cent. The problem becomes the amount of time I spend in game, which doesn’t feel like a problem.

ChicoSuave,

Weak willed

ChicoSuave,

That is the most tame outcome for that punchline.

ChicoSuave,

Sounds like it’s time again to teach that lesson

ChicoSuave,

“Drain the nature immersion” doesn’t quite feel the same.

ChicoSuave,

Little known fact that America has one of the first Kaiju. And if Paul Bunyan doesn’t count, Babe does.

ChicoSuave,

“and that’s why I have a casus belli on the Crimean peninsula, it’s revenge of the Rus for what the Tartars did in the 1300s.”

ChicoSuave,

He saw someone he loves stand up to fear and fight back against the night. Makes sense why his hero is his Mamaw.

ChicoSuave,

Rich people pay for our lives to be shittier through lobbying self interests. They don’t care about you. Why do you care about them?

ChicoSuave,

Cause if a lawyer tells the RCMP it’s okay, they believe them. The authorities want permission to hurt others, with little to no moral or ethical regard for who they hurt, and hearing it’s okay to do as they please is enough. It’s like letting a dog off leash to attack.

ChicoSuave,

It’s like the sub made for taking the piss out of gaming criticism and critique did what it was supposed to do.

ChicoSuave,

Can you imagine if there was a game that banned players for petting a dog or cat in game?

ChicoSuave,

If I don’t know a person doesn’t like something without first finding out, it’s pretty fucking hard to avoid the issue. I will act like myself and adjust as I learn more about the person. I ask that they be as patient with me as I am with them. If they take offense before teaching a stranger their basics, they were never trying to be friendly in the first place.

ChicoSuave,

Children aren’t stupid, adults are inconsiderate to how a child functions.

A child is a little person who, just like adults, understands concepts like good, bad, freedom, imprisonment, hungry, tired, etc. the problem is that children are not given a document that speaks their language, the words we use with kids is radically different from daily life. And when a kid uses a grown up word or phrase, we don’t compliment them on their defr use of language - we interrogate them with “where did you learn that” or “who told you that”. Imagine if we just did something incredible, like publish a phD dissertation and instead of celebration you were grilled with question that might get you in trouble. Or, at best, the adult is happy that the word was used but ignores or doesn’t bring it up again? All that work from the kid and they get nothing for it but more work. So why tell an adult at all? Why show off their ability to learn if it gives them nothing?

Adults also use big words for no good reason. They are oblivious to the fact that kids didn’t get 12 years of vocab, reinforced through tests and essays. If adults used simpler words, it would not only solve the communication gap between kids and adults, it would encourage a more clear understanding of what words mean to adults. Calling something egregious is fine but saying “for no reason” means the same thing. Adults do not use words that they teach to children, so ultimately kids view adults as using some crazy legalese or second language to talk to each other and make arrangements.

Clean up the language and celebrate kids as people who are always learning, and they will be happy to communicate to you and with you. That’s how we, as adults, can use our experience to help protect kids with their own input. It’s how kids are taught to be wary of adults - strange danger is out and communication is now key. Talking with grown ups they know to confirm what they are being asked helps make kids who aren’t scared of new things. In fact, they will happily embrace the new stuff as long as they know what to expect.

ChicoSuave,

“YOU KNOW WHERE ELSE THERES NO SOY MILK? CONCENTRATION CAMPS, YOU NAZI!”

ChicoSuave,

And then they put that stuff in classrooms! How disgusting

ChicoSuave,

Looks like somewhere in Europe that has a police requirement of a college graduate. These cops are acting like American police.

ChicoSuave,

Hopefully it finds its way into PC soon too

ChicoSuave,

IIRC Bossa tried to open source it but they used a license for Spatial OS, which provided the backbone of their game. They were unable to make a stable game without it and opted to not open source it. But they were also in an early access that would probably provide an exception for a game closing down.

Bossa did leave the island creator active and has spun up Lost Skies on the same engine, which wouldn’t be possible if they open sourced WA.

Ultimately the issue should be GaaS and MMOs are offerings service while other games are goods which have an artificial expiry date. This is a good test of software judication.

ChicoSuave,

He will conquer the wastes as Im’Martok Joe.

ChicoSuave,

The difference between Steam and Epic is that Steam gets modders who mod their Source games. These mods don’t exist outside of Valve games. Valve is paying someone who loves their games and makes content for those games. They are smart in recognizing talent and bringing it to their development teams.

Epic finds existing games with existing communities and build a wall around it so Epic becomes a gatekeeper to the fun. They stop games from working on other storefronts or pay for “exclusivity” which means stopping people from playing the game.

ChicoSuave,

Replace hair with toppings and it looks like an ice cream chart. Someone wants Astarions banana sundae.

ChicoSuave,

Vanilla to chocolate. If we want to get Neapolitan, include strawberry for full spectrum flavor.

ChicoSuave,

And it turns out it still isn’t worth it.
