I’m simping for them but they are hamstrung a bit by the ancient code. They haven’t rewritten it.

Fair criticism though, maybe they should have rebuilt the engine by now.

The Constitution seems to have been written with the idea that politicians will have good intentions. The checks and balances seem to be just to enforce compromise and prevent a single bad actor.

It doesn’t have any protections about and entire political party colluding to grab power. I don’t know how we fix this without amendments or a brand new constitution

I still don’t think this is gonna be a nuclear conflict. Maybe I am too much of an optimistic (I dunno how, the world is fucking burning), but I still think the Russian officers that would actually push the button wouldn’t do it. A smoking husk of Ukraine doesn’t get them much imo.

Dandelion greens are really good for you. Plus as others have noted monoculture lawns are pretty bad for the environment. Better than impermeable surfaces but still not great.

Florida just changed their laws on that. As others have said though that Florida laws require it to be finished so if Trump appeals I think that is right out.

There was actually an interesting “exercise drug” line of research seeing if they could make a pharmaceutical that would make exercise fun. Wonder if that went anywhere.

Yeah I know about that one! But in that same article (assuming we are thinking about the same one) they interviewed another scientist working on the other kind of drug.

Last I checked a less tumour inducing version of the drug was going into phase 1 clinical trials for muscular dystrophyin the last year or so

I would personally love an exercise pill. I have pretty severe depression so getting into an exercise routine is a huge struggle. If I could take some medication that helped I would be so happy.

I agree with you, but we have been doing it for 20 years in Afghanistan and with America’s imperialist history we have been shitheads for our entire existence (not even touching on chattel slavery). America was never great but maybe we can be better if we find a way to hold our politicians accountable.

Netanyahu’s time outside of prison depends on him continuing to wage the war (unrelated to war crimes, I think he is getting prosecuted for corruption) so he won’t ever stip. We could embargo their economy instead though. Or drop a division of special forces into Rafa to provide humanitarian aid, Israel is not gonna bomb US troops.

I finally got rid of my laserdiscs last year. My player broke years before and all the movies I had, I had blue rays of or could get on streaming. It was hard to justify toting around 20lbs of movies I couldn’t play
