No. It’s not appropriate to take someone’s joyful conversation about their experiences and shift the focus to you and your past trauma. It’s an incredibly shitty thing to do.
To be clear; The previous comment was not a response to OP, it’s a response to people that overshadow/intentionally bring down other peoples happiness with their past traumas. Like the humanoid character in the image did.
An alternative to having lazers shoot from your eyes.
The context you are missing is that these interactions aren’t limited to strangers or the internet, and typically form a pattern of regular behaviour vs just a one off comment.
A person is a victim of and suffers from the effects of their own traumatic experiences and instead of learning to deal with them and heal, they induce others to suffer some those effects as well; thus turning others into victims of that same trauma.
It’s not as big and dramatic as a murder, but it’s still victimization.
That would certainly be nice. Kinda just tossed the idea out there tho; IANAL as well.
I’m just familiar with the general concept, but looking closer at the details; it seems that may only apply after an actual acquittal/conviction.
You could probably run two simultaneous trials, and only apply the double jeopardy clause once one of the two trials concludes (nullifing/halting the later trial), but I’m not all that sure.
No idea if any case law actually supports this idea.
We aren’t talking about seprate crimes, or additional charges; we’re discussing starting a second trial for the same set of charges crimes, while the first trial is still proceeding/on hold.
Well that’s overly hostile for no good reason… Assuming the worst of everyone you encounter is a pretty terrible way to live and just makes the world a shitier place to be.
My response was in relation to filing the same charges again; as in attempting to have two trials for the same charges/crimes, hoping one goes well while the other is hopelessly delayed by a shitty judge. A misunderstanding perhaps. One you could have cleared up…
/edit; and now your downvoting every comment I’ve made. Glad we could have a reasonable discussion. Enjoy your pointless hatred, Pce.
I had, perhaps incorrectly, taken OCs comment to mean filing the same charges again, looking for a second trial that actually proceeds while the first is endlessly delayed.
Totally separate charges would indeed be a separate matter.
Github isn’t taking Nintendo to court over one of their users projects. They just comply with the takedown request and remove it. The user/dev isn’t going to fight Nintendo to bring it back either.
ordered a new phone so I wanted a new SIM for a clean slate. My country require KYC for SIM cards. So i ordered this www.ebay.com/itm/295938085941 I see now that the card is being shipped from Israel....
Why would you ever be buying a sim card seprate from the carrier servicing it…?
Honestly asking, that’s incredibly unusual to me. Where I live, the mobile carrier always provides the sim card. Usually free with a monthly phone plan, or as a part of a pre-paid plan. (pre-paid you can usually buy from a corner store like seven eleven. monthly you’ll actually have to visit their store/mall booth)
Israel ordered the local offices of Qatar’s Al Jazeera satellite news network to close Sunday, escalating a long-running feud between the broadcaster and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s hard-line government as Doha-mediated cease-fire negotiations with Hamas hang in the balance....
True; but it’s made much easier when you’ve destroyed all the infrastructure that keeps those phones/cameras charged and transmits the photos and video.
Batteries only last so long, and you’ve still gotta be able to send the data somehow.
Poorly phrased perhaps; I just meant how you can control a single character and walk around your world as opposed to the strictly top-down view of similar titles.
“I’m going to retaliate against your retaliation for retaliating against a retaliators retaliations! I warn you against retaliating further, or there will be retaliations!”

You were already provided with examples in this comment thread:
Non-apple watches, for instance, can’t use GPS from an iPhone or cause it to emit sound to local lost phones, despite being previously able to, demonstrating no technical limitations just a walled-garden limitation
We aren’t talking about two phones paired with each other, were talking about a pair of headphones or a smart watch, causing the phone it’s linked to to make a sound. Nothing more.
There is absolutely 0 opportunity to acquire a location from that.
Beyond that; apple products, specifically airpods and apple’s smart watch, have these abilities.
Why would it be a security flaw to allow an Apple manufactured device to perform these functions, but not a third party device, utilizing the exact same implementations?
They weren’t storing your name in the first place; they’ve acquired a new service ‘blowfish’ for which an account is automatically created for you if you currently or in the past have used glassdoor. Blowfish demands a real name to be used at all. (including to delete your account)
Ontop of this, after linking the two services on your behalf; glassdoor will now automatically populate your real name and any other information they can gleam from blowfish, your resumes, and any other sources they can find, regardless of whether the information is correct (users have reported lots of incorrect changes). This is new.
